I was looking through Oriental adventures and noticed most of the leaping/weightless foot type swordsman are prestige classes. Is thier a homebrew or some official 20 level base class that has some of those cool wuxia skills available within the first few levels?

I'm trying to find one for a friend who's very much into wuxia fantasy. Neither of us want it to be over powered, it's more about flavor. However if the balance isn't perfect it's fine.

Anything from 3.x or pathfinder would be welcome.

Based on my (admittedly limited when it comes to homebrew) knowledge of WotC and homebrew material, being a Fighter or Samurai with a high Jump skill and Leap Attack or a similar feat is the best option.

I'll look at some of the homebrew sources I know for something like what you're asking for, but I don't expect to find anything significant. It's not a commonly explored area of homebrew.

EDIT: I found something that looks good on the surface from D&D Wiki homebrew: http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Dragoon_Lancer,_Variant_(3.5e_Class)

However, it isn't rated and I only gave it a cursory look, so there's no telling how it is in terms of balance.

Thanks for your help. Did any third party developers release a chinese wuxia themed swordsman class?

Edit: just found this. http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Ion_Swordsman_(3.5e_Class)

May I suggest Path of War and Tome of Battle? Both are based around expanding martial characters, and the original Tome of Battle even talks about how it takes influence from Wuxia, Anime, and the Matrix.

Yeah, I don't know how the first response wasn't swordsage from Tome of Battle.

Wow, Swordsage... How the heck did I forget one of my favourite classes?

Yeah, Swordsage would be perfect for your needs, and it's WotC material.

If you are still looking for a homebrew class, my Monk Rewrite (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?275306-This-Is-Not-a-Monk-Fix-It-is-a-Rewrite-3-5-Base-Class-PEACH) would work if you use the Ancestral Daisho ACF.
