Aura rules?

I'm looking for general Aura rules for pathfinder - like if any affects or walls stop it, etc. I've been scouring the universal monster rules and other material and I've found nothing. Anyone have a link to point me in the right direction?

I'm pretty sure I'm going to feel like an idiot when I see the answer. lol.
