I know this is a list of all creatures by CR but I the Legendary creatures are spread out through the MM to have them listed by CR. There is no list in the actual book of Legendary creatures that I can find either.

Extra bits for Demilich: CR 20 in its lair. If it's a traditional type of demilich (like Acererak), CR 21 (23 in its lair).

And for the dragons, also the adults as well. Black 14, Blue 16, Green 15, Red 17, White 13, Brass 13, Bronze 15, Copper 14, Gold 17, Silver 16

All Dracoliches, by default.

CR=Challenge Rating, aka Challenge. Something with a CR of 5 is, roughly speaking, supposed to be a decent but surmountable challenge for a 5th level party, with more nuanced guidelines for encounter building due out with the DMG in December.

Added in Shadow Dragons too. They go up by 3 compared to the base dragon, going by the example.

Also, note well that some variants aren't given CR modifiers and would wildly inflate them if they did. An Ancient Red Shadow Dragon with the spellcasting variant can learn any six spells of 8th level or below (9th!! if you apply the Shadow Dragon template prior to that and give it CR 27). With the right spells, it would be virtually unkillable.

Eh, if it's challenge rating 27, that's fine by me honestly. Helps make it actually fit the CR.

Another quick question, against what level would you use a unicorn as a boss?

FadeAssassin

Probably like 3, if you wanted it to be deadly but i don't think it's meant to be a boss, unless you're an evil party.

But wait! What if its an ancient red shadow dragon dracolich?

But wait! What if its an ancient red shadow dragon dracolich?

... Then it is the father of the Half-Dragon Dragonborn cleric/paladin/sorcerer of Tiamat and Bahamut.

The shadow dragon and dracolich templates are mutually exclusive. You can be one or the other.
