If a spirit shaman has access to a domain (say, from a Contemplative dip), how does it use those spells? According to Complete Divine pg. 20, a prepared caster can prepare 1/level/day, and a spontaneous caster has to take them as spells known but can use them as many times as they have spell slots. But a spirit shaman is a spontaneous caster with no spells known, so what does it do?

You'd think they'd have realized that they should cover the unique case of a class from the same book, but then this is WotC we're talking about.

It is covered — they can choose to retrieve spells from either their normal list or the domain.
