Given a Large dragon, and a Huge dragon (lets say skeletal, with a permanent item of fly on them) all saddled and stuff.

How many people would they be able to carry?

(How many would the large dragon be able to carry and how many would the huge one be able to carry)

I can't find the rules for this...

I'm trying to decide what size to raise the dragon as, since its only a 3 HD difference, but the size might be a problem (huge creatures and dungeons/enclosed spaces don't mix well). (I.E my character has found himself in a dragon graveyard. but he cant raise 2 cuz of HD limitations)

I'd swear I've seen that rule somewhere in the last couple of days, but seeing as rules about mounting combat are so scattered around I can't remember where I saw it. I think that the answer could be easily found in the five WotC articles I found linked in this (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=7511611&postcount=7) post by Darrin, but substituting "www" with "archives" doesn't seem to work. :smallfrown:

Because you're suppose to replace it with "archive", not "archives".

So, from What I gathered, a mount can have as many passengers as can fit with its Str score? so if lets say each passenger (incuding the rider) weighted 200lbs (including gear) a large dragon with 31 str could carry 3 people with medium or lower size?

(3 people maintaining light load, would need to check the rules for prolonged flight and medium/heavy load.)

Is this right?

Apparently. Which is odd because you could end with more than 4 Medium characters riding a single Large mount without penalties. How do they fit in such a space?

Assuming this dragon is quadrupedal (like most dragons), it's light load is 612 (31 Str) * 3 (Large size quadrupedal) = 1836 lbs, enough to lift 9 passengers weighting 200 lbs each.

I can already imagine a Large Skeletal dragon flying about, and like 8 adventurers just chilling inside the rib cage while 1 drives.
