Potion Creation 3.5

You know, I'm reading the rules for creating potions, and I'm not seeing anywhere that you can't make potions of personal spells anywhere (Mirror Image, for instance). I know this was something that pathfinder does, but I cannot find that explicitly stated in any source material for 3.5. I've looked under the general rules for potions in the DMG, and under the Brew Potion feat as well.


Can anyone confirm/deny with a source book/page # or quotation?

DMG 286. It's under the rules for item creation, not under the feat, or the item type.
