The Ashworm Dragoon PrC grants an ability at level 4 that lets you negate hits on your ashworm mount via Mounted Combat any number of times per round. I recall finding a feat somewhere that lets you take attacks for an adjacent ally; am I remembering correctly that such a feat exists? If so, through Paladin entry (to boost the Ashworm's Int enough that it can take non-monstrous feats), this would be a great combo (especially since an Ashworm Dragoon gets +class level to ride checks when on the Ashworm).

Yes but it takes an immediate action.

Hm, it involves the two switching places...

Better give that Ashworm a few levels in Human Dragoon :smalltongue:

Good Karma (Complete Scoundrel) also does this, and is also an immediate action. It's one of the luck reroll feats.

*edit* And yes, the combo looks legit, though limited to 1/round and luck rerolls/day. Ashworm uses Good Karma to retarget an attack on you to itself, gets hit, you use Ride to negate that hit. Not like your Ashworm is likely to be doing much else with its swift/immediate action each round.
