PoW Discipline Exchange? [Archive] - Giant in the Playground Forums

I thought I had heard that the new PoW classes were capable of trading Disciplines out, in exchange for others?
That sounds a little too great to be true, can anyone clarify this for me?

A variable discipline list system was debating late in PoW's development and early in PoW: Expanded, but ultimately scrapped. However, you can exchange one discipline for another by joining a Martial Tradition, and there are plans in the works to let you do so with a trait as well.

I'm used to 3.5, does 'trait' mean the same to you as it does to me?

Traits are approximately half a feat. You can read about them here (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/traits). Many Pathfinder GMs give their players 2 traits at level 1, but you also get them through the additional traits (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/additional-traits) feat.
