Monk Dip Question

Ok so say I took the unbearable 3 level monk dip (2 is nice, three is overstaying its welcome by most standards) would my Fast movement progress if I Multiclassed out of Monk?

Because it says it progresses but it doesn't specifically call out monk class levels. Mostly I want to get Fast movement on Sacred Fist

It does explicitly tie the fast movement increases to the monk class. Look at the table. You get increased fast movement at 6th level of monk. Unless you're taking levels in a prestige class that advances the monk's fast movement, then it doesn't advance without taking more levels in monk.

Both the Monk and the SF refer to their respective class tables. If you multiclass out, obviously you're using the table of whatever you multiclass to rather than your own.

But there's no reason to stay in monk that long - SF gets fast movement on its own already. (Plus it doesn't stack with haste and similar effects anyway so there's no reason to go gung-ho for it.)

Derp, apparently I missed the Pathfinder tag, my bad. In that case, it looks like Sacred Fist is an Archetype for Warpriest, not Monk, so no, it doesn't have its own progression and no, you wouldn't continue to progress your monk fast movement (see my comment above about the table showing what Monk levels you get increased movement at.

If you're talking about PF, then no, you get no fast movement from Warpriest.

Class abilities that reference "level" always mean "levels in this class", unless they specifically state that non-same-class levels stack.
