There is an object inside a giant solid crystal and I need a way to get it out.
Crystal is a type of stone. One casting of Stone Shape (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/stoneShape.htm) will get it out. So will casting Shatter (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/shatter.htm), which should treat the object inside the crystal as a separate object and so it won't get damaged.
