Hello,

So here it says: Dragon Touch

You gain the dragonblood subtype. You gain 1 hit point, a +1 bonus on Listen, Search, and Spot checks, and a +1 bonus on saving throws against paralysis and sleep effects. In addition, you can select draconic feats as if you were a sorcerer of your character level.

Now does this mean my type changes to dragon "type". As in if for an example a cleric took this feat, does that mean its a dragon type and its saving throws and such go to that table?

No, it merely changes your subtype. If you were previously human, your type was Humanoid (Human), and your type is now Humanoid (Human, Dragonblood).

Also, type does not (usually) affect the HD and related stats (saves, skill points, etc.) gained from class levels.

The important thing about Dragontouched is that, while it changes your subtype (and not your type), the Dragonblood subtype allows you to, in effect, pretend to be a Dragon (the type) for purposes of feats and PrCs and the like, without actually being a Dragon (the type).

So keep that distinction in mind. It gives you Dragonblood (the subtype), does not give you Dragon (the type), but lets you count as a Dragon (the type).

Just be careful because some things actually say they require dragon type (which you won't qualify for) or true dragon (which you also wouldn't qualify for).

So wait, red is saying "So keep that distinction in mind. It gives you Dragonblood (the subtype), does not give you Dragon (the type), but lets you count as a Dragon (the type)" So I can take a feat that says dragon type even though I am not dragon type?

yes.

You just don't get the abilities inherent to the Dragon type. So just because you're subtype (dragonblooded) doesn't mean you get the following.

FeaturesA dragon has the following features.

12-sided Hit Dice.
Base attack bonus equal to total Hit Dice (as fighter (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/classes/fighter.htm)).
Good Fortitude (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/combatStatistics.htm#fortitude), Reflex (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/combatStatistics.htm#reflex), and Will saves (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/combatStatistics.htm#will).
Skill points equal to (6 + Int modifier, minimum 1) per Hit Die, with quadruple skill points for the first Hit Die.

TraitsA dragon possesses the following traits (unless otherwise noted in the description of a particular kind).

Darkvision (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/specialAbilities.htm#darkvision) out to 60 feet and low-light vision (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/specialAbilities.htm#lowLightVision).
Immunity to magic sleep (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/sleep.htm) effects and paralysis (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/specialAbilities.htm#paralysis) effects.
Proficient (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/combatModifiers.htm#weaponArmorAndShieldProficienc y) with its natural weapons (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/specialAbilities.htm#naturalWeapons) only unless humanoid in form (or capable of assuming humanoid form), in which case proficient with all simple weapons (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/equipment/weapons.htm#simpleMartialandExoticWeapons) and any weapons mentioned in its entry.
Proficient (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/combatModifiers.htm#weaponArmorAndShieldProficienc y) with no armor.
Dragons eat, sleep, and breathe.

You just count as one for prereqs.
