Polymorph any object is a wonderful spell, that if the subject is close enough to the target creature the duration may be endless. That is great, except for one small problem: dispelling. Is there any way to make it so polymorph any object is no longer subject to dispel magic? What about something that acts like it where someone can become a different creature, and that effect cannot be dispelled?

On a not unrelated note: Are there ways under pathfinder to change one's type and take on subtypes?

In response to your first question, no. On the other hand, there are ways to take on other types, such as the alienist class (though this is 3.5), or use another race as your character template (dopplegangers are nice, but they have level adjustment)

Casting it as a (su) ability? Dweomerkeeper comes to mind.

As far as I'm aware, there's nothing in Pathfinder with Polymorph Any Object as a Supernatural ability... however, an Ifrit Sorcerer with the Wishcrafter Sorcerer (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/other-races/featured-races/arg-ifrit/wishcrafter-sorcerer-ifrit?tmpl=%2Fsystem%2Fapp%2Ftemplates%2Fprint%2F) variant ... may or may not be casting spells as a Supernatural ability when it meets up the critera as being someone's Wish. That could potentially work... of course, by the time they have it...

A few of the Oracle abilities give you some morphic abilities as Supernatural ones, but they're not directly permanent.

The Astral Seed trick still works in Pathfinder. The power creates "a living, breathing body that is an exact duplicate of your body at the time you manifested astral seed", so it'd work for permanently assuming another form.

That one is only debatably workable in 3.5 - in what sense is the remaining duration on a particular effect not part of the abilities you had at the time you manifested Astral Seed?
