After reading that the magic item crafter doesn't need to know the specific spells to be placed on the item (can be supplied by another character) I was wondering if the magic evolutions counted for caster levels to qualify for magic item creation feats? For example give the eidolon basic magic and take scribe scroll at first level, when crafting the scroll the summoner assists by providing the spell to be scribed, the scroll is made and my eidolon now has an item to umd. I see this as being a much better way to create a magic type eidolon without using the summoners feats to craft everything.
