Potential problem with my name

As the title basically. I remember reading somewhere that you aren't allowed to have any form of punctuation (ellipses, commas etc.) in your name, and mine has a period at the end of it:

Mrc.

Is this an issue and should I change it?

Sheriff: This idea comes from the Name Change Request Thread, where we routinely decline to change existing names to names with punctuation. Some punctuation may cause trouble with the database*. So in that context, when we are in a position to either add a potential problem or not add it, we're choosing not to add it. But we're not asking all posters with punctuation to change their name.

If an existing poster's punctuated name presents a problem, we'll contact the person about changing it. Unless you hear from us directly, please don't worry about it.
