What equipment would you equip to an imp Familiar (polymorphing bodyguard with ranks in UMD, Share spell within one mile). Gold isn't much a concern but no one item should cost more than 100k. I am a Wizard.

Head:
Face:
Neck:
Shoulder:
Torso:

Around the neck is an Amulet of Health, probably. You can never go wrong with too many hit points.

collar of healing would be better, or amulet of tears. Stats are better purchased with a belt of magnificent.

Let's see... Polymorph leaves the target with it's spell-likes (inherited from Alter Self), so you don't need to worry about invisibility.

A Human is not really what you want for your Imp: Polymorph sets the physical stats to the base for the race, and for a human, that's 10/10/10. You really want a human-shaped critter with good physical stats and movement modes (such as a Trumpet Archon, Astral Deva, or Barbed Devil), and then cloak the familiar in suitable disguise magic (like, say, Veil or Seeming). Anyone looking at the beasty with True Seeing will see the Imp, either way, so might as well, no?

Much of this depends on what spells you keep on yourself, but:
Head: Hat of Disguise (or a Cowl of Warding, if you can afford it - just over 200k for a Cowl of Warding)
Face: Hathran Mask of True Seeing
Neck: Necklace of Adaptation
Shoulder: Cape of the Monteback (get several, swap them out after usage)
Torso: Vest of Resistance+6
Belt: Belt of Magnificience +6 (if it fits the budget - 200k)
Arms: Bracers of Armor +1 (with tons of special abilities per Arms & Equipment Guide to fill out the rest of the budget on the item)
Hands: Gauntlet of Rust
Ring: Ring of Chameleon Power (if you can afford the Cowl of Warding) or a Ring of Freedom of Movement if not.
Ring: Ring of Blinking
Feet: Anklets of Translocation (get several, and swap them out if you're between battles): Moving 10 feet as a swift action is rather handy.
Skin: Skin of Proteus (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/items/universalItems.htm#skinofProteus): Because randomly changing forms is hilarious. Also permits uncapped self-healing for the Imp at a rate of your level/round, simply by changing forms every round.
