Hello there guys, Im going to start an evil campaign soon. I was wondering about playing a warforged warrior but then my friend told me: ¿Why don't you build Ultron? and I was like O__O YOU FREAKING GENIUS. Ok, Ultron seems to be a...Warforged Artificer to me. Here is the thing, I've never played an artificer and I don't know how they work. I know they use money but it is complicated to me cus my games don't tend to involve much money. Im asking you help for tips on how to play an Artificer correctly, which feats to take and general stuff about Artificers.

Campaign settings:
Evil Campaign
Starting level 6
We have to roll stats yet
12000gp to start along with a magic item of choice (have to match background and concept)
Flaws are allowed
No Dragon Magazine (but Dragon Magazine feats may be allowed)

Anyway, go warforged Artificer 20 with the 4th warforged sub level Tools of War which gives an xp "discount" (it actually doubles each xp spent) when crafting or enhancing magic weapons and constructs it replaces craft homunculus, so Craft Construct when you can it lets you get homunculi. Take the item creation feats that reduce the cost in Time to craft, Gold, and Xp and keep retain essence so you can scrap any that are obsolete.

Yup. Sometimes things just align right and Ultron is one of those times. you can actually pull off everything or close enough to his comic depictions with just the aritificer class.

If your DM allows you to dip into 3rd party materials, look into Clockwork creatures. See if you can have him make little miniature versions of himself.
