Hey I was wondering how this works?
I was thinking of making a savage progression Ghaele on the one side and Incarnate on the other side.
But the Ghaele doesn't get a hd on every level. How would that work?

Well, this is all unofficial content so everything is up for DM approval. I would think you get the best of each side. If one side grants nothing, the other side is better by default.

Correction: Both the Gestalt rules and the Ghaele 20 level racial class are official content.

However there are no rules for combining Gestalt with Racial Classes or even with Level Adjustment/Racial Hit Dice. So you are right that the combination requires DM ruling.
