I was thinking about watching the DnD Cartoon and was wondering which episodes were so bad that they would be worth skipping, if any?

You mean the old one from the 80's, with the Dungeon Master and the four(I think it was four kids)? It wasn't really all that great, but I don't recall any of the episodes being noticeably worse.

There were six children transported to the Realm: Hank, Bobby, Presto, Sheila, Eric, and Diana.

Anyway, if you like campy 80's Saturday morning cartoons, you will enjoy every episode. And they get better as they went on even having a kinda metaplot develop near the last nine episodes or so.

don't skip any, but be prepared to be VERY irritated by the unicorn's voice (Frank Welker at his most grating!) I have no problem with it because, well, I'm used to it, but my girlfriend didn't grow up on the cartoon and was immediately annoyed. She can't stand the cartoon to the point where I might do a fan edit to tone it down a little bit.

But it's an awesome cartoon! One of my favorites since I was a kid!

You can search online to find a copy of a script for a final episode that never aired. Even a reading was done that's on video.

It's only 24 episodes....you don't need to ''skip'' any. Sure some are bad...but it's only a couple minutes. And that is depending on your view of things anyway.

None. There are no "bad" episodes, only 80s cheese. Despite that the series is actually surprisingly clever at times, and you should feel free to grab some stuff for your own D&D games from its more clever ideas. Also, being a kids cartoon, the violence is never that impressive, but 80s, what are you going to do?

Whoa, the voice of G1 Megatron did that unicorn's voice? Ha! I did not know that.

All the more funnier as I do remember Peter Cullen doing Venger's voice. XD

I've read that script and it provides the closure that I needed when I was a kid.

Thank you for your answers.
I actually stumbled over the script and read it first, deciding afterwards that I was going to watch the series. :)

I've seen some episodes as a kid and I've familiarized myself with the series on multiple occasion during the years.

Skip the following episodes:

(1) The episode where Uni meets a whole herd of unicorns, including some black stallion unicorn that's like the boss stallion. And then some evil bald wizard starts hunting all unicorns to harness unicorn horn power.
(2) The episode where the kids' weapons run out of juice and they have to go to the dragons' graveyard to recharge them.
(3) The episode where they fall into some really trippy magical trap and each one ends up alone and has to face his/her worst fear or something.

You should definitely skip those. I'll try to remember more.

You just recommended skipping, in my opinion, three of the BEST episodes.

When I read the finale script it surprised me that Venger was Dungeon Master's son. However, that was due to forgetting the show. It gave us clues which I remembered when I was able to rewatch the series. In one episode Dungeon Master laments that Venger was his mistake. When I first saw it I just thought he meant allowing evil into the world. Another episode is more blatant. Venger is, for all intents, defeated and trapped on an island about to go boom. Dungeon Master rescues him calling him "my son". When I first saw that episode I thought he meant it figuratively, but it was meant to give the viewer pause to think he meant it literally as I understood when older and rewatching it. Well done.
