So, everyone knows that the one feat you can't use while Raging is Combat Expertise. Okay, that and metamagic and item creation feats, but seriously, what Barbarian even has those?

You *can* use feats that have Combat Expertise as a prereq, but are not themselves Combat Expertise, like Improved Trip and Improved Bull Rush.

So, my question is: Can you use Improved Combat Expertise? By the way it's written, it seems like you should be able to. Improved Combat Expertise is not Combat Expertise, nor is it a metamagic or item creation feat, so it isn't expressly prohibited by Rage. Like Improved Trip and Improved Bull Rush, it's just another feat that requires Combat Expertise, but is not itself Combat Expertise. The fluff fits too - you've become so good at defending yourself in combat you can do it even in a Rage state.

Am I missing something? Some errata or whatever? Thoughts?

To quote Improved Combat Expertise:

When you use the Combat Expertise feat to improve your Armor Class, the number you subtract from your attack roll and add to your AC can be any number that does not exceed your base attack bonus.
You're still using Combat Expertise when you use Improved Combat Expertise, so no you cannot use it during a rage.

Improved combat expertise just removes the cap from combat expertise. CE is still being used, so you can't use it with rage.
