The Illithid World

This existance is one complelty different from the one you are familiar with. It is not an opposite plane, like the Astral Plane or the Beastlands, but an entirely new existance altogehter, from which the Illithid race hails...

The land is twisted and black, with a dull purple "sun" hanging over the land, reavealing thousands of illithid soldiers and their slaves...

How do illithids evolve, anyway? I always imagined they started as some breed of slug in some forsaken underdark pool, which preyed on the brains of sentient creatures. Brought to the surface and exposed to humans, they found them easy hosts, and soon burrowed into and took over their brains, eventually evolving to be able to control the brains of their hosts, and transfiguring them.

Aesa drops down into the plane.

Rafael drops beside her, clothed, and katana in hand.

It won't happen. Rafael returns the glance as metal covers his entire body, save for his neck and head.

The illithids act as if the new arrivals to the plane are not there, continuing on with their work.

((The thing that sucks about fighting mindflayers is that they're very, very coordinated in their tactics. Also, stealth is innefective unless you can sheild your mind, because the Elder Brain can sense minds... and armor is kind of useless unless it's a helmet... and armor is useless agan becuase the things mind blast into submission before they eat you...
also, they can wear you down with hoardes of slaves.))

Aesa closes her eyes and tries to sense what direction Rin is in.

Rin is to the northeast. On inspection, there also happens to be a rising column of smoke in that direction...

Aesa begins walking in that direction, shoving aside anything that gets in her way.
Well, anything that can readily be shoved, that is.
She keeps this up until someone either reacts to her, or she comes to a place of interest.

Rafael follows her.

[Lykan]

The only interesting thing that Aesa comes across is a gigantic tower of blue crystal looming over the relativly flat landscape.

[AmberVael]

Aesa thinks she understands, so she merely keeps heading towards the smoke, picking up her pace to be easily twice as fast as a normal person's.

[Kyrian]

Rafael matches her pace.

[Lykan]

As they approach the column, they come upon a mass battlefield of red, black, and blue uniformed illithids, with various creatures bearing tatoos of similar colors. The black and red illithids are advancing toward the column, while the blue seem to have stoped their march...

Aesa leaps into the air and begins to fly faster towards Rin's location, easily outpacing any earthly creature.

[Kyrian]

Rafael curses under his breath as the living metal armor covers his head, leaving only two slits for his eyes. He runs after her as fast as he can.

[Lykan]

The wall of illithids and slaves turn on Rafael, simultaeneously letting out several dozen blasts of stunning energy, fire, and lightning, while their slaves begins trying to slash him apart.

Aesa draws closer to the center of the battlefeild, where a whirling ball of frost and lightning marks the spot of a small, ticked, black haired girl...

Aesa darts down towards her, guessing that it was Rin, especially since her divination would help her with that.

[Kyrian]

The living metal armor covering Rafael does it's job in blocking most of the attacks, though several lightning strikes knock him back. He growls and begins swinging the katana at anything that dares near him.

[Lykan]

A pair of oversized umberhulks smash down upon Rafael, both disemboweled from the strike. Several humanoid creatures make their way towards rafael again, hissing and slashing at him wildly.

Rin doesn't seem to notice as she traces some basic seid runes in the air, and unleashes a wave of mindwracking energy on the surrounding masses...

Aesa picks up speed and aims to simply snatch her off the ground and fly back up into the air.

[Kyrian]

Time to step it up a notch... Rafael allows the swings to hit the metal armor, some even causing some sparks. A 3D mesh quick replaces the katana, which vanishes, and fills in. Rafael grabs the twin barreled energy rifle and opens fire at everything attacking him.

[Lykan]

Several of the slaves fall to the wrath of the energy gun

Rin struggles, not really seeing Aesa while she slams a ball of fire energy towards her supposed arial enemy

[Kyrian]

Not seeing an immediate counter-attack, Rafael runs in the direction Aesa took off in.

[AmberVael]

The fire washes over Aesa harmlessly, and a ring on her finger glows. Aesa frowns and tries to get into Rin's mind and see if she is dominated or affected in some way.
She continues flying up.

[Lykan]

Rin is under the affect of neither. Rather, she seems to be in some sort of battle lust state of mind. She tries to strike at Aesa again, her eyes glowing bright.

Rafael meets the wall of illithids again, which unleashes another barrage of energy upon him

[AmberVael]

Aesa smirks and raises a hand towards Rin's face, and a moderately strong jet of cold water shoots out towards the black haired girl.

[Kyrian]

Rafael stumbles a bit, but growls as he opens fire. A 3d mesh wall appears in front of him, fills in, yet can't be seen. ((Basically, they unleash energy at him, it's reflected back at them as well as attacking him))

[Lykan]

The illithids continue their barrage on Rafael, a second group striking at him from behind

Do to either sheer concentration or bloodlust, Rin doesn't register the effects of being splashed with water. For all se knows, it could have been the "thing" holding her's blood.

[AmberVael]

Aesa decides to let Rin do as she wants, if she is so out of it as to believe about a gallon of concentrated cold water to the face is nothing to consider.
The vala begins looking for Nobu with her divinations.

[Kyrian]

Rafael rolls forward, with the unwanted help from several attacks coming from behind him. He continues to fire at the illithids.

[Lykan]

Several more illithids fall to Raphaels attacks, but they press onward, hoping to eventually get through his sheild

Nobu is out to the north, where a similar mass of illithids seems to be gathering.

[AmberVael]

Aesa begins flying towards Nobu, keeping Rin in her arms.

[Kyrian]

Rafael growls as more hits reach his body. He fires at a faster rate, and a large 3D mesh forms behind him, only beginning to fill in and take shape.

[Lykan]

Another pair of Umber Hulks aim to smash Rafael into pulp

Rin continues strugling. Nobu, from a distance, seems to be running across the massive wave of troops, tearing illithids and slaves alike at speeds that would make a lightning bolt look sluggish

Aesa sighs and tries to figure out if he has a set course. As she does, she keeps coming closer.

[Kyrian]

For the love of..! Rafael rolls backwards and hops onto the completing motorcycle. He tries to take off back to where the opening to Aesa's plane is, sensing he's not much help here.

[Lykan]

Nobu seems to be taking a zig-zagging path towards the column of smoke

The opening isn't there anymore.

[Kyrian]

Lovely... Aesa, know you're busy, but way in isn't the way out.

[AmberVael]

Aesa alters her course to intercept him, idly running a hand through Rin's hair.
A portal opens to Mist Spire right next to Rafael, possible splitting a few people in half and sending a few more through it.

[Lykan]

The forces continue to chase after Rafael and the copyrighted material he stole from TRON.

((sorry, been holding it in all evening... I just needed to say it. :P))

Nobu is swiped up from the masses, both of his wings heavily damaged. He aims to strike Aesa with his blade, but doesn't have enough room to swing it. Both children continue to fight while Aesa carries them off.

Aesa looks for an empty space, not necessarily nearby.
In fact, not nearby is something she'd like.

[Kyrian]

Rafael wonders what the hell Lykan finds from TRON, because Rafael has no knowledge that anything he's used tonight is TRON. ((Maybe because it's not. :smallfurious:))

Thanks Aesa. Rafael continues firing with his non-TRON related weapon.

[Lykan]

((Dear gods man, it was a joke... Calm down.))

Several Illithids fall to the blasts of the non-TRON related weapon.

The area where they had both come from (the blue tower) seems relativly clear.

Both children continue to struggle.

[Kyrian]

Rafael continues to fire, relentlessly.

[AmberVael]

Aesa zips back towards the tower and then sends a burst of telepathic energy towards Rin and Nobu, trying to shock and stun them.

[Lykan]

Neither child crumples, surprisingly. Rin, instead, collapses into unconsciousness, while Nobu just stops struggling, and begins looking around the plane, as though taking it in for the first time.

More slaves collapse to the ground.

[AmberVael]

Aesa isn't surprised, but instead kneels next to Rin and tries to coax her back to conciousness.

[Kyrian]

Rafael holds the rifle back looking off into the distance where Aesa is.

[Lykan]

Rin is exhausted, and she hardly stirs when Aesa attempts to rouse her. Nobu looks around

M-mom?

[AmberVael]

Hello Nobu. Miss me much?
Aesa sits down next to Rin.

[Lykan]

He nods, standing up again, his hands on his silver sword as he surveys te surrounding area

Can we go home? Are we able to?

[AmberVael]

We can... but I'd like to see about helping out your father. I don't know a better place to find out just what happened to him.

[Kyrian]

You know where I'll be, Aesa.

[AmberVael]

Aesa looks across the area to Rafael and nods.
Of course.

Nobu bites his lip, before slicing through the head of an invisible illithid with his blade

What happened to him?

Rafael nods as the motorcycle becomes a 3D mesh and vanishes. He then steps through the portal.

Nobu bites his lip, nodding, absentmindedly throwing a knife into the skull of a charging umberhulk

I'm not sure. Probably find this "black" entity.

He nods, looking around tha battlefield for another target close enough to strike, but finds none.

Any leads?

Aesa frowns.
I can send you two back... that'd probably be best.

Nobu frowns, but nods

He hugs Aesa

Look... I'm sorry about all of this... We should be able to get back on our own by now, but we still aren't strong enough yet...

Aesa smiles and hugs him back.
Its okay. I'm just glad you're safe.

Nobu nods, still quite shamed by the situation that he feels could have been avoided. He looks around

I'm ready to go back.

Aesa opens a portal, closing the one near Rafael.
Can you take your sister through?

[Lykan]

Nobu nods, picking up his sister, looking at Aesa one last time before stepping through

Aesa gives him a smile before closing the portal and closing her eyes, seeking out the entity known as "Black" with her divination.
[hr]Aesa breaks out of dead time and keeps searching with a vague scrying and a locate creature spell.

Where ever black is, he's well hidden. Scrying spells seem not to reveal his location.

Aesa frowns and glances at the blue tower, then uses telekinesis to try and snatch the closest illithid towards herself.

Aesa rolls her eyes and stabs Continuity in the face. She then teleports away while remaining exactly where she is.

Actually, the wikipedia article is pretty complete. Illithids start out as four-tentacled tadpoles. They are inserted into the brains of sentient creatures (Humanoids work best) in a process called ceremorphosis. They grow and mutate the subject until an illithid is left. They then move on to create more illithids. Their language consists of figure consisting of 4 lines, and they read by running their tentacles over the figures. They used to have 2 deities, but 1 was slain by Orcus. Several creatures can result from attempting Ceremorphosis on a non-humanoid, the most well-known being the Uchuulon, or slime Chuul.

By the way, could someone with the stats please PM me the stats for A Ulitharid, elder brain, Uchuulon, Illithid (The SRD doesn't have it), brain golem, Brainstealer dragon, Illithocyte, Neothelid, Oortling, Octopin, Brain golem, Nyraala golem, Mindwitness, or Kezreth? Maybe a God-brain while I'm at it? Please? Thanks in advance, not sure if stats for some exist.

Aesa's hand becomes clawed, and she puts it on his head, threateningly pointing the claws inwards.

The illithid struggles slightly before its eyes narrow

I know we are to head east to take down our next target... It's supposed to be one of the elders. I do not know which.

You're lying. Tell me the whole truth.
Aesa's claws sink into him a little ways.

[Lykan]

He lets out a gutteral snarl, an unusual sound for an illithid

It is Red! I do not know where Black is!

[AmberVael]

Are you sure that is all? Is there nothing else you want to say?
Aesa waits for a thought or two to form, then casts Crystalline Memories on him.

[Lykan]

The illithid looks like he's about to say something before his eyes widen, and he begins to tremble violently

N-... Aaaaaaauuuuurrgh!

Aesa smiles and waits.

[Lykan]

The illithid shudders a bit more before a crystal burst through his head, spraying black blood everywhere. The illithid falls limp

Aesa whistles and takes the crystal, looking into the memories stored within.

[Lykan]

The thoughts within the crystal reveal nothing spectacular: A large red crystal tower jutting up from the barren landscape, and battalion after battalion of troops, all wearing the same color. The next series of memories involves the illithidspeaking to a large mass of blue tentacles, which after a few minutes of telepathic conversation, gives the illithid general a staff made of some unkown material before dimissing him. The memories end there.

Aesa looks around for said staff.

[Lykan]

The staff is in the illithid's pack. It seems to made of some semi-solid blue jelly with one or two clear crystals laid within it.

[AmberVael]

Aesa shrugs and decides it would be something interesting to carry around. She picks it up and tries to sense the direction of Red's Tower.

[Rebonack]

((Jell-O based weapons! This is the best idea ever!))

[Lykan]

Red's tower is also concealed... But much less so. Aesa finds that the illithid was speaking the truth, in that the tower is to the east...

Aesa summons a small leather belt with a few odd straps, then places the staff on her back. She puts the crystal in her pouch and flies towards Red's Tower.

[Lykan]

Several hours/minutes later ((whatever suits you)), she comes upon the red crystal tower, and the collosal army surrounding it. Several soldiers spot Aesa approaching, and begin firing flurries of crystals at her from something similar to a gun turret.

[AmberVael]

Aesa turns incorporeal and flies through the flurry of crystals, idly shooting a blast of fire at the illithids manning it. She drops down and looks to see how she can get inside.

[Lykan]

The turret, oddly, grows some crab-like legs and leaps out of the way. On top of that, the crystals seem to be ghost-touched...

[AmberVael]

Aesa winces as the trust she put in her spell turns out to be misplaced. However, she counts on the crystals not all being epic weapons and therefore not doing as much.
Also, her immortal status helps out a little, even without godhood.
However, she is still bleeding as she flies towards the tower, looking for an entrance. She also tries simply going through the crysal incorporealy.

[Lykan]

There seems to be no noticeble entrance, and entering ethereally seems to be in vain. On closer inspection, it seems the tower is covered in some runes, consisting of different compositions of four strait lines. The turrets unleash another flurry of crystals at Aesa...

Aesa idly waves a wall of force between her and the turret as she closes her eyes and runs her four fingers down the lines, taking advantage of her polyglot feat.

[Lykan]

As the crystals smash against the wall of force, Aesa finds most of the runes say something along the lines of "Blood of the enemy pleases the Redmind!" or "Fight with honor! Fight to the death! Take no prisoners!", and other such propaganda and other messages glorifying the battlefeild

[AmberVael]

Aesa hums to herself and draws out the staff she has.

[Lykan]

The red illithids continue to attack the wall of force.

[AmberVael]

Aesa thinks about it, then traces the line of contact in the staff back to the illithid she had slain before.
She attempts to teleport the body to her.

[Lykan]

the corpse appears next to her, still quite dead, though it seems something had began feasting on it before Aesa had snatched it away.

[AmberVael]

Aesa smirks and raises it a bit, hopefully allowing the red illithids a sight of it. She also tries to get a little blood from it with a spell and trickle it over the writing and the tower.

[Lykan]

The illithids stop their assault as soon as the blood touches the tower, and a tentacle whips out from the tower and pulls Aesa through the crystal wall. The inside of the tower is dark, with a single mass of glowing red tentacles floating at the top of the tower.

A nord? How cute...

An aberrant mass of tentacles? How putrid.
Aesa crosses her arms.
Where is Black?

The mass of tentacles writhes a bit, making a sickening squelching sound

Aesa smiles, clearly doubting its assessment anyways.

The mass stops for a moment

The mass chuckles

No, it would not... What is surprising is that they would finally find the mettle to attack.

Well, that aside, I may or may not be able to defeat you, but I think we can agree that I could escape quite easily.
That being said, I have knowledge that you want. You have knowledge I want. I propose we trade.

The mass writhes a bit, before shifting, shrinking, and reforms into the shape of an oversized, red skinned illithid in full combat gear

I speak the truth. I know not the locations of my siblings.

[AmberVael]

Perhaps not. But you have ideas on how to help me find him, don't you?

Red taps his fingers together

I may be able to help you... But I must know which of my siblings plots against me, first.

[AmberVael]

I'm afraid not. Let me put it this way-
I am the one who is in danger here. You think you can kill me. As this is your homeplane, my caution tells me to believe you.
If I find Black, then lie to you about who is betraying you, you can punish and capture me, possibly kill me. Whereas if I tell you now, you can do as you like and I won't have a say.
You have the power here. You have nothing to fear even if I do betray you. You first.

Red's tentacles twitch, his mouth grinning under the sinuous apendages

I must know, so that when you tell me, I have a reason to call Black and the others to a war council to prepare for the fight against the attacker.

We both benifit from this action, nord.

[AmberVael]

Aesa's eyes narrow.
You can find another reason to call them. Or you can be betrayed by an unknown foe as opposed to a known foe.

[Lykan]

The illithid's grin dissipears

The only time we meet is in times of war, nord. Either against the denizens of your world, or eachother.

Red's eyes narrow

Besides, there is a factor which you do not include, which I have yet to bring to attention: If you were to feed me wrong information, I, and any of my "slaves" I were to bring to this meeting would be utterly destroyed.

So, I would have no need to kill you now, in that if your information is true, you would have kept your part of the deal, and you would get to see Black without searshing for him for an extended period of time. If the information was wrong... You'd be dead with me, so I would not need to worry about having to hunt you down.

[AmberVael]

Aesa holds the blue staff in her hands, spinning idly.
Why don't you take a wild guess at who it is...

[Lykan]

The illithid laughs, out loud this time

I should have guessed...

He turns, drawing his sword, and concentrates. The crystal blade begins to glow blue as he sheathes it again. Several illithid soldeirs enter the tower, and the entire group dissipears, reappearing on a gigantic, dark gray column, to tall it even would have dwarfed the illithid-god's towers. A giant blue light appears above the column as Red turns back to Aesa

It will take but a moment.

Aesa smirks and waits.

[Lykan]

As several other illithids of granduer appearence teleport to the top of the column, Red swears under his breath

Make yourself look like a slave, or they will suspect something's amiss. Humanoids are rarely found here.

[AmberVael]

There a few, minor, discrete changes that take place in Aesa's expression and demeanor, not to mention her outfit. She looks much more like a slave now, and yet the transition was not obvious.

[Lykan]

When 4 other of the illithids arrive, they approach Red, who turns to face them

What is this about, Red?

I have found that one of our siblings plots against me. He must be eradicated.

And what is your basis for suspecting this?

I have received information from a loyal slave that he plans an attack.

And you trust this humanoid?

I have seen her thoughts myself. I have heard Blue’s words to conspire against me. This dangerous attitude is bound to increase his ambition, and he will aim to take the rest of you down as well. And with my forces added to his if he were to defeat me, the chances of surviving a combined assault are nil.

A black illithid looks at Aesa, and it’s eye twitches. Another illithid, this one bone colored steps forwards and bends down to look Aesa in the eyes, forcibly attempting to probe into Aesa’s thoughts...

[AmberVael]

Aesa glances at Red as if waiting for him to do something. Her mind solidly resists any probing.

[Lykan]

The white illithid looks at Red with a look of something in between disgust and astonishment

You need to tame your slaves, Redmind. She refuses to present the information.

Red glares at Aesa, drawing his blade and whacks her back with its flat

Do you need to be reminded who your masters are, slave?

Inside Aesa's head, Red's voice rings out

Hel damn it, my mind is naturally that way.
Aesa concentrates on recreating her "mind" outside of her mind so that it appears to be her normal mind and yet is reachable.
She does, however, change it a little so that there is no trace of how she actually got the information. She instead replaces it with a number of methods of her finding the information, including interrogation, spying, and the like.

The illithid grins and taps his fingers together

Excelent, Red... Such information is gladly accepted. You will be rewarded for this.

Red chuckles

He looks down at Aesa

I promised my slave a change of masters as her reward. It seems it'd be better suited for Black, anyway.

The black illithid's eye twitches again, looking at Aesa with a non-existant raised eyebrow

Interesting... You wish for the normal payment, then?

Of course.

The black illithid nods, and summons several things similar to bags of holding next to Red, which his illithid troops take. Red turns back to the other four illithids

Now, we will meet again here in 12 hours. Bring your generals and strategists. Blue will fall in due time.

He turns

The white and grey illithid dissipear as well, and Black turns to Aesa

How have you gained entrance to this world, nord?

Aesa smirks.
I struck a deal with Blue. Then I made another with Red to get me here where I need to be. Now, you twisted, vile brain, what in the hell did you do to Hiko?
Aesa strikes out with Seid in an instant, pulling a Prismatic Sphere around them both and a Dimensional Lock over them.

[Lykan]

He grins, not swayed by Aesa's display of power

Hiko? My, so many humanoids, so many expiriments... I do not know of who you speak, Aesa.

[AmberVael]

The one you damn well activated to fight me? The one I drained of mind and strength, like I could do to you?
Aesa's hand crackles with energy. Apparently her two spells weren't anything compared to what she is planning.

[Lykan]

Black rolls his eyes, and his eyes flash, aiming to dispell the effect of the Prismatic Sphere.

[AmberVael]

Interestingly, while Aesa's effects are normally weakened by a fair bit, this one deteriorates only slightly.
As in, it grows a little dim. The end. Everything else looks normal.

Aesa just smirks.
Care to try that again, little mind?

Black grins

He manifests Timeless Body and steps back through the sphere

Aesa smirks, casts Celerity to interrupt him and zap a Wall of Force around the Prismatic Sphere.

Black manages to step back inside the circle befor he feels the effects of the prismatic spell, and manifests Temporal Acceleration, Iron Body, and Assimilation, charging at Aesa while under the effects of the temporal acceleration and latching his hands onto Aesa's face until the timing expires...

Aesa hisses as the power drains at her, but while he keeps up contact curses pours into him, draining at his mind and body.

[Lykan]

Though most of Black's abilities are eaten away by the curses, he manages to manifest an Unconditional Reality Revision to undo misfortune on his other curses, and attempts another quickened assimilate on Aesa.

[AmberVael]

Aesa quickly snaps an antimagic field around herself.

[Lykan]

Black pulls out a locgsword and pounces at Aesa, slashing furiously

Aesa takes several heavy cuts, but finally she raises a hand and blasts at Black with her trademark swarm of missiles, which cut through the antimagic with shimmering force.

[Lykan]

Black is hammered by the missiles, several bits of his flesh blasted away by the force, as well as one of his tentacles. He leaps backwards, ouside the effect of the antimagic circle, manifesting a quickened True Metabolism, Body Adjustment, and another attempt to dispel the effects of the Dimensional Lock on the area.

Why exactly are you trying to kill me, again?

Aesa advances on him, the antimagic following her.

Aesa lunges in, drawing a shimmering sword from the air. If Black had even been around Town, he might recognize it.
Of course, he hasn't, so he probably hasn't seen Verdandi's old sword.
The sword shouldn't pierce a vital area... but having a sword stuck in you is pretty bad and uncomfortable.
Now, what do I do to rid him of it forever?

The sword stabs strait through his gut, and Black grunts

Aesa has her finger on a single rune on the hilt.
It will channel all of my hate for you through the blade... and into damaging energy.
I imagine the amount of energy that will be is rather large...

Black looks down at the blade, looks up again, and grins

Then I get to kill two of you. Lovely.
Aesa pauses before triggering the rune. A normal sense motive check will reveal that she has every intention to use it. Because she does.

Yes. Look at my troops before you kill them. It's hilarious.

Aesa triggers the rune.
Black probably feels like he has a river of fire pouring into him. Except with more heat.

The illithid-god-thing shudders under the incredible power power desroying his body...

Aesa puts a hand on his face.
Oh, and by the way-
She lances a jolt of sheer pain, fear, and despair into him telepathically, with all the strength she can muster.

Black's eyes widen and he falls limp, a geyser of blood escaping his mouth after the life leaves his eyes

Aesa kicks the body, then, being the type of person she is, searches it for any interesting items.

[Lykan]

Black's longsword, bracers, and belt all resonate a high amount of psionic/magic power. In addition, several illithid symbiotes are attached to his body...

[AmberVael]

Aesa whistles as she takes the items and symbiotes, then almost burns the body.
She then smirks and uses her telekinesis to position Black's body in a kneeling position, then changes him to stone and teleports it to her vault.
After that, she dismisses her spells and tries to teleport back to Red's tower.

[Lykan]

Red's tower is no longer there. The entire army and towe seem to have dissipeared from the spot where the were once located...

[AmberVael]

Aesa smirks and teleports back nearby Blue's tower.

[Lykan]

Blue's tower, oddly, has not moved. There's signifigantly less forces, but the majority of the illithids and slaves dressed in blue are still there.

[AmberVael]

Aesa taps her lips and uses her divinations to search for Red, his tower, and his army.

[Lykan]

Red's toawer seems to be much more hidden then before, because Aesa finds nothing of Red or his troops.

[AmberVael]

Aesa frowns.
For having good power with divinations, she sure was having a lot of trouble with them recently.
She sighs and scries for White and Grey.

[Lykan]

White and grey are all masked by identicle effects, signifying that they all must be within the similar viscinity to be under the effects of the one power.

[AmberVael]

Aesa taps her lips.
Well, if she can't find them...
...making them find her was the next best option.
She hums and begins scribing runes on the plane's surface. They seem to be describing... oh... ultimate destruction of an entire plane.
Aesa wonders how far she will get into the rune sequence before they notice the extreme power radiating from the air and send someone to investigate. Considering how long it will take to scribe, she's certain she won't get all the way though before they do something.

[Lykan]

All the illithids at blue's base turn to her, and begin sending bolts of lightning, fire, and crystal lances down on her possition...

[AmberVael]

Aesa laughs and stops her scribing, teleporting into the air and flinging fire and lightning down on them all.

[Lykan]

Illithids and their slaves alike fall under Aesa's attack. Blue's voice rings out in her head

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!?

Blue appears next to her, tentacles flailing

Aesa smiles sweetly.

Blue roars, and tries to eject Aesa from the illithid realm...

Aesa leaves- via teleportation after dropping no less than a dozen delayed blast fireballs, half a dozen resounding thunders, and summoning six infernals to mop up.
Time Stop and Aesa is a scary thing.
