Finding an Elven City

I recall reading about an elven city that used to be a dominant city in Faerun, but after some overzealous use of magic and summoning excessive portals it was destroyed.

Does anybody know which city I am thinking about?

Myth Drannor, otherwise known as Cormanthor.

I believe there were several other Myth [so-and-so] locations that got sucked into the fall of Myth Drannor, due largely to the shared portal systems, IIRC. Been a long time, and my headcanon is a bit dusty, but I'm sure a search of candlekeep or the FR wiki would turn up locations named Myth [whatever].

Anyway, Myth Drannor is like the super-classic of FR flavor in my book. Right up there with the fall of Netheril in terms of how super cool, very powerful societies can still fall prey to the same kinds of threats that plague lesser civilizations (stuff like mismanagement, corruption, overly ambitious archmages, etc).
