Is there any class/archetype that grants a skirmish progression, or can it only be acquired by porting over the Scout? Third-party is accepted.

Alternately, are there any homebrew updates for the Scout? Does it need updating?

It doesn't actually get "Skirmish" until level 8.
Once you hit level 8 you are free to multi-class if you so choose. Sneak dice from other classes will trigger as well (i.e. Slayer).
The Archetype is also fully compatible with the Ninja, if you so choose.
