[McBish]

POLICE STATION

Inside the building there are many people at various desks. They all have something in common, a badge. This badge certifies that they are members of a squad developed and devoted to doing just one thing, stopping crime. They are the Town Police.

As you walk into the foyer you can see a large doorway on the right in what you're sure is an outside wall. Looking through it you can see a set of metal stairs leading down to some more cells. A sign above the doorway says Cell Block Extension. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17677) A sign over the front desk reads "Amulets of Trueseeing in Operation. Please leave Lies and Illusions at the door." Behind and to one side of the desk in Captain office.

I will update this as often as I can, but please remember that it may not be current.

The Rules:
If anyone (even a citizen) gets evidence on a crime, and are able to track down the criminal, then they can arrest him. The suspect will be in jail for a period of time according to the crime, after which the criminal will be released back into town. Due to rights for a speedy trial, the criminal will be held at max for 48 hours in the station if we can't settle it in court.
When arresting, one must first ask the criminal to come quietly, and then if they do not they may subdue them, using lethal force at their discretion. Criminals wanted for murder, battery, or assault should expect lethal force to be used against them.

Parole and Weapon Restriction
Parole is served simply by being scryed on by the police for the duration of your parole. Weapon restriction is accomplished by wearing a bracelet provided by the OmniShop. This bracelet prevents you from using any aggressive magic or drawing weapons ((Aggressive magic includes harmful or unlawful uses of any magic)) The bracelet also prevents you from attempting to harm or remove the bracelet directly or indirectly. These weapon restricting bracelets are made of adamantine and are unable to be taken off normally by anyone other than a police officer.

Internal Discipline
Officers who are discovered to be neglectful or willfully derelict in their duty will be subject to disciplinary action. Infractions last for 1 month, and on officer who commits two infractions within a month will have his/her badge taken away, his/her powers as an officer revoked, and be asked to leave the force.
To Report A Crime
Please LINK to the thread where the crime was committed. We play this as real time, so if you enter the building after the crime, all you can do is collect evidence/statements to prove the crime. Anyone may collect evidence and report crimes.

The Police Force- Current Officers and Joining the force

Joining the Force
To join the police force, either find the Captain or a Senior Officer of the appropriate department (see below) to swear you in. A police officer will receive weekly pay of 100gp, weapons (of your choice), weapon repair, and riot gear, a desk at the station, and room and board in the station barracks should they want to.
Senior Officers receive pay of 150gp each week, have authority over all normal officers, may deputize citizens and swear in new officers, and handle police station political matters should the captain be off duty.
Captains recieve pay of 200gp each week and have authority over all officers, may deputize citizens and swear in new officers, and handle police station political matters.

The force is divided into two departments, the Patrol and the Wardens.
The Patrol consist of those who are paid for detective work, town patrol duty, and a quick response team to back up citizens in reported fights.
The Wardens are made up of the people who jail and guard criminals, take care of legal and diplomatic matters, and scry on those people serving parole.
Each department has a separate Captain and a Senior Officer.

The badges given to the police act as badges of Trueseeing, and allow the police officer to contact any other badge-wearer with telepathy. They can either be pinned on, or aligned with the body's magnetic field to simply hold onto the wearer.
To be sworn in, you must first pass an alignment test. We accept no officers with Chaotic or Evil alignments. Once this test has been passed, the potential officer must answer the following questions in the affirmative:
Do you swear to uphold the law in this town?

Do you promise to obey the rules of the police as noted on page 1 of the police station thread?

Do you swear to the best of your ability to track and record crimes as well as apprehend and arrest criminals?

Officers who have not posted in the station within a month will be removed from duty unless good reason is given for their absence before or after said absence occurs.

The Station:

Fairies Krista and Feorwyn are about the station to help take statements, open cells to release prisoners after time is served, and make fresh pots of coffee for waiting persons. Please use as you feel necessary. Feorwyn - She is pretty darn surly for a lady. Krista -she just wants to get the work done and is always running around hecticly. They feed you when you are in prision. So shut the shock up.
The station has been enchanted in the same manner as Trog's, so it may not be destroyed.

Cells
All cells in the station and the cell block are made of reinforced adamantine and enchanted to block all use of magic and psionics inside them. The cell doors are barred and have force in between them. Also an anit-agression feild is in them. You cannot attack anyone or anything while in the cell. Including yourself. Please don't try.
Whether the officer who jails you posts it or not, it is assumed that the faeries take all your equipment and store it in a security locker. It is also assumed that the door is locked when you are put in. Also you are feed.

Rell appears in a flash of white light, holding a very decorative pocketwatch. He slips it into his OmniShop uniform pants very carefully, smiling. Seeing that he was switched from Officer to Warden during his bout of inactivity, he heads over to his desk and begins to review the evidence for the current cases.

Maph'tey files the report. He decides that Xeni might have an idea of what's going on. Or at least he mumbled something to that respect.

Rell goes and wakes up the mutt. "The current cases we have files of on our desks have minimal evidence. We have two choices: drop charges because it happened a while ago and we have more to contend with now, or: find all the witnesses and have a trial for each one."

The mutt looks up. Ugh... huh, yeah. Most of those cases are cold the suspects haven't been seen for a long time. I think the faires were going to get around to shifting those files at some point.

The Maph'tey at the stations suddenly crumbles into a pile of crystalline dust as the duration on Fission is ended manually.

[Castaras]

Tasha wakes up, assumining that she's no longer a cake.

She gets up, moves over to her chair, and writes up a few reports.

TPB starts throwing daggers at Tasha. He follows up with a Heart Ripper.

[Castaras]

Awake now, she looks up, a dagger embedding itself in her arm. The others miss, and she makes her fort.

What the...

She grabs her axe and charges at TPB. She also sends a telepathic message to any officers on patrol.

Matt valiantly charges at TPB.

Tasha glances at the TPB infected by dead time, before sitting down and finishing the reports.

Fus wakes up and looks over to the two officers.

Shouldn't I be out now?

Tasha turns to Fus.

How long have you been in for?

About 3 weeks and a day now. I think.

Then you should. Here is your bracelet...

She puts a bracelet on his wrist, opens the cell, and lets him out. Fus walks out of the station.

Matt goes over to TPB with a permanent marker and draws a sguigly mustache and glasses on him

Tasha smirks and carries on writing up her reports.

Matt continues his fun, cutting slices in TPB's pants that reveal his underwear.

Tasha doesn't sound that serious.

To bad for him, he tried to kill you, I heard, what 5 times or more? He continues by cutting Z's on TPB. ((Sorry buttons are disabled for me, No color *weep*)

She looks up.

Oh yeah, you were asleep. Ya know what I'm gonna put him in a cell, Faeries! Do your thing. | The faeries refuse to put TPB in a cell as the Fourth Wall would then kill them.

The Panda Bandit, Who is wearing Black armor with white trim, shifts into Hybrid form. Having watched Matt for like an hour and a minute, He makes an assassin death attack and tries to bite his neck and rip his throat out. He whips out a hand crossbow afterwards and fires on the fairies. He also targets a Heart Ripper on Tasha. You know what it does, don't you Castaras?

It succeeds on Tasha if some crazy thing doesn't happen.

Matt gets hit Uh-Oh! Then he switches personas and uses a Anti-Magic field on TPB, Matt extends this onto Tasha so that she isn't hurt

Rell looks around at the chaos, and frowns. He fires a beam of light at TPB, which will stun him if it hits. He then begins to run around, trying to heal everybody hurt.

TPB charges out of the field and begins to slash at Tasha.

Heart ripper is an assassin only spell. It forces the target to make a fortitude save (DC 30 in this case) or instantly die as their heart is ripped from their body, unless their HD is above the total level of the caster (30) in which case they are stunned 1d4 rounds.

Anti-Field is Surrounding him and moving as he does Matt engages TPB, ((Gotta Go, Castaras can NPC me for this fight))

Tasha raises her axe and thwacks him with it. Nothing else she can do really. She gets hit once by TPB. This knocks her out as her player goes for lunch.

Rell takes careful aim and fires more beams of light at TPB, still hoping to stun him. He rushes over to the fight and tries to heal Matt and Tasha.

He heals them both.

Tasha wakes up. She then picks up her axe and leaves the station.

Matt uses all his heals for the day and prays for a good ol' while.

The Panda Bandit walks out the door.
Either Gwen or the human with the axe, but which? I think I'll go with axe wielder.

The mutt looks up. Hey it is you thanks for coming back. Please go back to your cell.

[Castaras]

A large pile of dead NPC bodies blocks the door, all of them silently accusing The Panda Bandit for their deaths by heart ripping.

A rhesus monkey suddenly launches itself from the rafters and clings to the bandit's head.

[Blood]

Rell sighs and brings the bodies to the morgue, counting how many there are.

[Nevrmore]

As soon as the pile of bodies is moved, a new pile drops from the sky in the same place.

[Blood]

Rell just counts them and teleports them to the mortuary in a flash of light this time.

No more bodies fall magically from the sky.

Rell notes this, and slips it into TPB's quickly growing file.

27 deaths, all by The Panda Bandit. The bodies appeared randomly in the Station, in this thread on Page 2. They were NPC's, and I brought them to the mortuary. TPB faces 27 more charges of murder.

Rell reappears from the OmniShop. He sends a message to Fydan, and then seems a bit relieved that he has people watching out who he can trust to be safe and possibly be able to catch TPB.

Tasha and Matt walk in, sit at their desks, and fall asleep.

Batman appears in the doorway, carrying a tied up man from Nukulor's army over his shoulder.

mIshmale wakes up with a grin.
My sentence is up isn't it?
An NPC fairie looks up the report then looks at him.
Yes. You can go now.
The fairie opens mIshmale's cell. mIshmale tries to make a run for it but the fairie quickly allows the bracelet he's carrying to meet mIshmale's head. mIshmale crumples to the ground and glares up at the fairie.
What was that for?
The fairie flies down and attaches the bracelet to one of mIshmale's arm.
I couldn't let you go without a parting gift.
mIshmale tugs at the bracelet.
What does it do?
It prevents you from making any aggresive motions. At all. You must wear it for a week.
mIshmale walks out of the station grumbling something about revenge.

All the officers should feel that someone wearing a police bracelet is fighting at the tavern...or something.

Salty wals in, severely sunburned, and scars visible on his arms. In case you were wondering, I got shanghaied down by the docks, and I managed to escape tonight.

Silas enters with Zeb and leads him over to an anti-magic cell, where all the usual stuff happens as he's locked in.

Zeb sits down in his cell.
Anything specific I should know? Say length of my sentence?
Rye hops out his arms and walks around a bit.

Adder enters the station, all the blood from his face wiped away. He walks over to Zeb's cell.

[Uberblah]

Zeb looks up at Adder.
Come to mock me now have you? Well go on. Get it out of your system.

[Kyrian]

"Sure. 42 hours."

[Nevrmore]

Adder smiles, "Payback's a bitch."

[Uberblah]

Zeb looks over at Silas quickly.
42 hours? That's it? Sounds good.
He looks back at Adder.
Whatever.

[NecroPaladin]

All three hear a mocking laugh from somewhere, although aren't aware the others hear it. I like toying with minds.

Zeb hears the laugh. He thinks he must be going nuts by decides to say something anyway.
Anyone else hear that?

Sia walks into the police station, and her eyes widen as she sees Zeb. What happened?

Adder turns to Sia, simultaneously popping his broken nose back into place. "Your boyfriend attacked me."

Zeb looks up.
Yep. I upheld my promise from last night. Apparently it's frowned upon in this Town.

[McBish]

The mutt makes a wall of force appear at the door and walks up to Adder Hi there. Did we forget to mention you were scryed upon all the time you were wearing the patrol braclet?

[Nevrmore]

Adder turns to the mutt.

"Whoopdeedoo, not only are you a dog and a policeman, you're a peeping tom. Why should I care?"

[McBish]

Well because you hired or convince 2 people to attack someone while we were watching. Not only that but you said that you would succeded in this town because no one expected you. I found that part quiet funny when the fairy made it's report.

[Obsidian Blade]

Hardly my boyfriend. Sia remarks. Why did you attack him anyways? She leans against the wall.

[Nevrmore]

"And how long have you been scrying on me?" Adder asks, feigning interest.

[McBish]

Since we placed the braclet on you. It is standard procedure.

[Obsidian Blade]

Sia stiffens at the mention of scrying, and listens carefully.

[Nevrmore]

"Yet you didn't tell me that. All I was told was that it forbade me from using aggressive force on anyone."

[Uberblah]

Zeb looks at Sia.
Because he's was annoying and I promised him that I would.

Get real. Sia says to Adder. Of course they wouldn't tell you.
She looks at Zeb. So how long are you in there for?

[McBish]

Oh really? I'm so sorry. Did you not understand the fact that you were on parole? I mean I love it when people plot a whole new crime ring while being watched by the police.

[Nevrmore]

"The fact remains that you didn't tell me, so to even use what you gathered against me is unlawful. Ignoring how completely un-threatening it sounds, if you even attempt to detain me I'll go ahead and sue you. I'm sure you wouldn't like that."

[Uberblah]

The cop said 42 hours, but that was nearly 4 hours ago.

[McBish]

Sue us. Go ahead. Like I said it is always procedure to scry on any one on parole. Also I belive someone warned you about this. The young man you sent people to beat said, "the police are watching you." You should have listened to him. So please step into a cell.

He looks at Sai. And you might want to reconsider who you work for.

[Nevrmore]

All Sia's instincts are telling her to leave as fast as she can, but she stays, sighing, and listens to Adder and the mutt. To the mutt she says, I haven't done anything yet, dog.

Well I do really appreciate you keeping it simple for me. And I will give you one more chance. Go in a cell.

((Assault 18 hours.))

The mutt looks at Sai. I know that is why I'm not arresting you. Also there is a force blocking the door.

[Nevrmore]

Adder pushes past the mutt and patiently waits for the wall of force to end.

((He hasn't even assaulted anyone yet. You can't detain him for conspiracy to commit assault))

Zeb watches with interest as this unfolds. Nothing would please him more right now than to see Adder sit in a cell for a while.

Sia bites her lip but stays where she is. Jerking her head at Adder, she says, He hasn't done anything either. I'm pretty sure discussing something isn't a crime.

[McBish]

Hiring someone to beat someone is a crime. If you really want you can go to trial and try to argue that it isn't but trials usually have a worst punishment than if you just go into the cell.

[Nevrmore]

"And you can't prove that I hried anyone because you unlawfully spied on me."

[McBish]

Sorry but we didn't. So I can let you go now and you go to court or you go and spend your time and get it over with.

Sia glances at Adder. Trials get rigged alot. I'd suggest simply getting it over with.

Adder lights a cigarette, sticking it in his mouth.

"You're a pretty shetty cop, you know that?" He says, taking a long drag.

Don't know what you're talking about. I tottaly discovered a crime ring starting to form today. I think I'm doing a pretty good job.

"You're also breaking more laws than you think you're stopping." Adder blows the excess smoke in the mutt's direction.

Rell flips through a case containing the little evidence they have concerning Destro's murders. "This wizard seems to have been around for quite a bit longer than that, and he's charged with at least seven murders."

"We will set up a trial for you soon. Until then, you will be held in jail. However, if we can't settle it in court within 48 hours, you will be let go while we resolve it."

Silas took care of that, looked into what the dread guard in my study saw, which was me reading.

Werepanda who wants to kill the police and eradicate all goblins, Demon who wants to kill all police and destroy the station, plus draw the town into the abyss, or their boss, A brain-sucking, backstabbing, powerful wizard with Simultaneous spellcasting ability (Can cast multiple spells at once) He hasn't done anything yet, but it's dangerous for him to set up shop so close to the town. The fairy says about an hour and a half.

The arrow disappears in a puff of smoke, and Moon begins to reassemble his body parts about five feet from the mutt.

That was fairly painful.

He almost falls over, but catches himself in time and remains standing.

I always keep a few of those arrows in my quiver. I was trying to arrest him at the time, because of previous charges. I alone do not have enough firepower or skill to capture him. He wants to completely eliminate the Police however, so he'll probably have to come here eventually.
