So I've been tossing around an idea in my head and want to know what the forums think. I have a Dwarf cleric, who is going to be going up against some orcs/goblins. As DM's, let me know if you think this would make a viable intimidate bonus.
I've rubbed 50 gp worth of ruby dust into my beard and hair and have a teammate with a scroll of enlarge person. We don't want to fight, because we'd probably die, however we do want to drive them off towards the awaiting trap we have set up. I would have my team mate in hiding. I would go up, take a knee and loudly start to pray to Moradin. While on a knee I cast continual flame on my hair while my team mate casts enlarge person. I am now a giant sized dwarf, with flameing beard and hair. Would you allow an Intimidate bonus to make them run away?

A flaming oxymoron charges at some orcs/goblins? Yeah, I'd allow Intimidate for that. Although, to be fair, it's RAW (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/skills/intimidate.htm):
You gain a +4 bonus on your Intimidate check for every size category that you are larger than your target.
I'd probably grant a circumstance bonus for being big and on fire, but that's just because I love rewarding awesome.
And Blackbeard.
Note that Intimidate doesn't make them run away by default, although that's one possible outcome. What you're describing is effectively Demoralization, not regular Intimidate. A demoralized character is Shaken (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/conditionSummary.htm#shaken), which means they take penalties, not that they run. Stacking demoralization, however, can get you to Frightened (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/conditionSummary.htm#frightened), or even Panicked (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/conditionSummary.htm#panicked), either of which forces them to run in terror if possible.
That said, I might allow it if you did it right. It worked for Andre the Giant.

Would the continual flame cast on my hair and beard block my sight? I just thought of that.

you don't need any houserules: intimidate already gives a bonus for being bigger than your target (Special
You gain a +4 bonus on your Intimidate check for every size category that you are larger than your target. Conversely, you take a -4 penalty on your Intimidate check for every size category that you are smaller than your target.)

continual flame does not do anything to your LoS, so you're fine.
