View Full Version : Non-psionic races taking psionic class - is "Wild Talent" a pre-req?

Hello,

In 3.5, is it a necessity for a non-psionic race to take the "Wild Talent" feat in order to begin as a Psionic class?

This seems to be the impression my DM is under, but I'm not too sure - and it would feel like a strange feat tax?

Thanks,
J

No its not ...

Soulknife is the only Psionic class that have it, and they get it as a free feat only for the fact that they then , no matter their race, have power points so they can gain psionic meditation which can be used to fuel certain psionic feats

Nope! You don't need to take Magical Training to go into wizard, do you?

Classes that have prerequisites have them very clearly spelled out. Look at the monk's lawful alignment requirement.

This is what I suspected as I could not see any prerequisite written anywhere - thank you for confirming!

Quite frankly, it'd be weird if you did.
