Is there such a feat, and if there is not, how OP would homebrewing one be? Mainly thinking about upgrading hear the air to blindsight via a feat

There is a feat called something like "Blindsight, 5ft Radius", which gives you Blindsight in a 5 foot radius. It requiers both the Blind-Fight feat and a Wisdom of 19. While it is not a direct upgrade to existing blindsense it is a big boost to a swordsman. Afterall, blindsense already tells you where everyone is. If your reach is no more than 5 ft this feat will allow you to be effective in Melee against those you can't see

With this feat, I could see brewing a feat that gave you 5 feet blindsight and increased your blindsense by 5ft. Prereqs something like Blindsense 5ft or more and Wis 19.

It's similar to that feat while piggybacking off of the blindsense already established. I have no Idea where that would fall balance wise though. Nor do I know if it invites any shenanigans.

Combat Awareness (from Player's Handbook II) also works. Requires one more feat and a better BAB, but not that much Wisdom, and the prerequisite feat of Combat Focus isn't that bad. It doesn't work permanently as Blindsight, 5-ft. radius but it requires far less Wisdom. If you're using it on combat, then might as well choose Combat Awareness; if you have huge amounts of Wisdom, then choose Blindsight, 5-ft. radius.

In easier terms: a Paladin or Ranger would prefer Combat Awareness, while a Monk or Swordsage would prefer Blindsight, 5-ft. radius.
