Depending on your area meetup.com could have some good one.

If you are in the pittsburgh area then I could give you specific ones.

if you can play online then google + is a good way to meet players (it's how i met my group). there are a bunch of g+ groups running games (just post what day and what edition you want to play) - https://plus.google.com/communities/112562269238493905636/stream/2c519cbe-c0ee-4c34-900e-17402c5f8535

and roll20 site always has a number of games going (altho hoard of the dragon queen games always fill up quickly :D)...if you go to roll20 main page and click lfg link you can pick what type of game you want to play (which edition etc..). just checked it and there were a number of games looking for new players-just depends on the days.

In my experience, Pen & Paper Games (http://www.penandpapergames.com/) is decent at finding players. Meetup.com (http://www.meetup.com/) works fairly well also.
