Pirates II sign-up!! (Registration Closed)

Hi everyone,

We are trying to hammer out the final details of the game, but I thought I'd open up the sign-ups for Pirates II. We promise something new and exciting that you haven't experienced before in a werewolf rip-off. We also vow to bring you humorous, creative, and timely updates. Plus, The first 10 people to sign up receive a free Atreyu bobble-head! if Ceika can be convinced to make one, and maybe if she allows Rex to animate it, and if he agrees, too.

Right now we are trying to choose between 2 options and as soon as we can convince Indy that Alarra hasn't bribed me using a system of head scratches and carrots then we'll post the final details. EDIT: System now chosen!

The game will begin at 11:00PM March 31st, so sign-ups will end either late march 30th or early march 31st.

It has been declared: PIRATES: Peter Pan - The Revenge of Captain Hook

The Characters:
Pirates:
Captain Hook - the semi-alpha pirate, scries as a villager and picks his SMEE.
SMEE - Devil
The rest of the pirates are picked randomly

Passengers:
Peter Pan and Wendy = Lovers - Are killed as one, win if they survive)
John & Michael = Brotherly Feud taken too far - Win if one survives and the other has been killed
Lost Boys= Masons

Crocodile - Scries for Captain Hook - Scry at night, learns if the person he's looking at is Captain Hook or not.

Tinkerbell- At night, Tinkerbell can sprinkle one person with pixie dust, that person is protected from being thrown overboard, the next day. The victim is not informed that they have been protected.

Nana - Baner (faithful watchdog) hides in one person's room at night and protects them from pirates.

Princess Tigerlily= Seer
Chief Wigwam = Fool
(both are told that they are the princess, until the illusion falls off the chief's eyes eventually and he realizes he's neither dainty nor pretty)

everyone else is a citizen of never-never land.

@ Gez: As officially the psychodelic poodle cut llama doesn't exist, we have no bobble heads of it at this time. We don't know where you have the silly idea that it was ever an avatar. It doesn't exist, it never did.

@Moon Called: Yes it is basically Werewolf on a ship, but we keep trying to tweak it so that it is a unique experience. Sometimes we don't tweak it much, but we keep pushing for new roles and gimmicks.

But it's fun when the lovers are on opposite teams. The first game I played, my lover wolf told me the identities of all the other wolves so I would attempt to get them killed.

The game died, so it didn't end up working, but it would have been greeeeeeeeat.

The ship shall be divided, as you saw above, into 4 floors, with 2 hallways per floor. Since we're at 37 people right now, I'm figuring about 40, so 5 people per hallway.

Each day, each player can make a spot check during the day down one particular hallway...(roleplaying that you're searching around for clues might give you a modifier for your role....we'll judge your creativity =P)

We haven't decided what exactly the DCs are for the various clues however. If you make the DC, and are in a hallway in which someone who was a target of a nightly action resides, you can find a clue pertaining to it.

For example, you search down hallway A, and roll an 18....you might, say...find some pixie dust outside of Cobra's room implying that...perhaps...tinkerbell protected him.

We haven't decided what exactly the DCs are for the various clues however. If you make the DC, and are in a hallway in which someone who was a target of a nightly action resides, you can find a clue pertaining to it.

For example, you search down hallway A, and roll an 18....you might, say...find some pixie dust outside of Cobra's room implying that...perhaps...tinkerbell protected him.

Sounds great! You would do this after I switch avatars. The character my old avie was based on had utterly insane senses, just ask smellie hippie. (fun fact, Raldor the exalted characters last name is Falconeyes)

This one is a mid level psion / elocator. So I don't think he's got a great spot check. On the plus side, he doesn't disturb the ground he floats over, so he's good at looking for stuff on the floor.

Somehow, I doubt any of that will actually make a difference.

I believe I would like to reserve a partially submerged room on the lowest floor if one is available.

You make checks during the day. You will receive your results as shortly after you post your roll as I (or llama, or Indy) are online to send them to you. You shall receive results via pm. You must roll in the thread, as I don't believe the die roller works in pm. However you need not specify which hallway you are searching in the thread should you not desire to, that may be done via pm. Of course, should you want to specify/roleplay it in the thread, by all means, that is encouraged.

So im in a hallway with DarkLightDragon, Goblin Music, Joosbawx and Kyrian. We're defintly the cool hallway. Go Hallway C...to victory. I know we dont win by hallway but I wouldnt want those in my hallway to die when your on a ship you get friendly with those in your hallway. Now if only me and Joosbaex can stay alive past round 1 and 2. Or just the first day and night.

You can roleplay with and point at anyone, the idea of hallways is purely for the daytime spot checks. I mean, if you want to band together with your fellow hallmates, that's perfectly fine too, but it's not necessary. You can roam anywhere on the ship.

Not bad companionship, not a all, though i'm regretting me using Rennard...but Cassie is using the cat, so i don't think they'll be much chances for her to try to kill me from a curtain...:smalltongue:
