Arcane archer

I'm playing a lvl 14 pc. He's a ranger, sorcerer, arcane archer. With the 6 levels of sorcerer, and 4 levels of the other two. What are the best spells to use for both casting and imbue arrow. 3.5e and we hunt dragons mostly on the campaign

Don't split your focus. Ask the DM pretty please to retrain either (a) all but one of the sorc levels or (b) all the ranger levels and all but two of the arcane archer levels. And I assume your DM allowed sorc entry instead of wizard entry?

Otherwise take the hit and pick one to continue with from here forward. Probably the archery side rather than the casting side since most of your levels are on that side. That means little or no imbue arrow and more shooting and self buffing like flame arrow.

If you want a 50:50 blend of magic and weapons then you take eldritch knight or a similar class. You only get one standard action in a turn and either casting a 3rd level spell or shooting poorly when others have 7th level spells isn't even close to worth it.

Casting as a Sorcerer 6, and hunting dragons? Probably the most powerful spell you're going to find is Shivering Touch. It's a 3rd-level spell from Frostburn.

EDIT: Make sure you pick up the Energy Substitution feat, in case you're dealing with a White dragon, or something similar. Energy Substitution is an important feat to have for sorcerers, regardless.
