View Full Version : D&D 5e/Next Archetypes etc. for Star Wars setting.

A while back I designed a Monk subclass for playing a Jedi (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?369774-Monk-Subclass-Jedi&highlight=jedi+monk) in 5e. I had the idea of fleshing out more Star Wars related class subtypes, and perhaps races, too, but I'm not really sure where to start.

Bounty hunters, smugglers, troopers and droids all seem necessary, but what else? And what races are necessary?

I'd like to stick to archetypes instead of complete classes if possible.

Smuggler: is this an archetype or a background?
Bounty Hunter: same question?

Droid: is this one race or many? Is it even playable?

Do imperial soldiers need anything at all, or can they just be fighters?

Then of course, there's gear (though thankfully the DMG has pretty good stats for blasters, and I took care of light sabers in the Monk archetype).
