If you came from the police station (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34169), the Temple of Iames (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34540), or the Academy on Tyrath (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27656):
You are standing in a small, four-sided gazebo. Three sides are filled with white light, and little plaques above each arch, from L-R, read: "Academy," "Station," and "Temple". If you turn around, you see a rolling courtyard, with gardens that remind you (if you've been there) of the Academy courtyard. Beyond the courtyard, there is a gatehouse, and then a large palace made of gray stone.

If you came under your own power (via some mode of planar travel):
You are standing in a courtyard in front of a gatehouse. There is a four-sided gazebo behind you, and before you is a large palace of gray stone.

The gatehouse is manned by a lantern archon named Lumen.

Iames and Aerin reappear in a burst of light. Iames reaches out to try to find Vera.

Iames starts meditating, trying to find wherever Vera's spirit is as his player skedaddles off to get ready for class.

Vera's spirit is fairly well hidden, but it seems to be in the norse collection of planes.

Iames stands up. Aerin, I think I've found her.

Where? Where is she? Aerin looks up.

She's on one of her home planes. I can't nail down which one, but I can get us to the one we've been to before.

(welcome back, while you were gone, I was freed from your evil influence.)

Aerin nods. I'm ready to go whenever you are.

((Curses. Oh well. That plot can lie in wait for another time.))

Then let's go now, Iames says, and opens a gate.

Aerin goes through the gate.

Iames follows Aerin through the gate.

Lyrak stretches in bed next to Tehanu and snuggles up to her.

Tehanu wakes up and runs her fingernail over his skin, turning it into a light pinch at the end.

Lyrak flinches a tiny bit, then pinches her back.

Tehanu laughs, "Ah Lover, this is the best time being dead I've EVER had. Endless nights with all of your attention."

Lyrak laughs a bit too. It has been great, but to tell the truth, I'm starting to get a tiny bit... bored. And I don't like that, but I'm not sure what we can do about it.

Tehanu turns over to face him, "I can get more inventive..." Her fingers roam over his chest, alternately stroking and lightly pinching.

Lyrak grins as an idea occurs to him. Actually... you wouldn't happen to have alter self prepared, would you?

Tehanu looks at him, "I don't have that in my spell book. What did you have in mind?"

I just thought a little variety in looks might be fun, that's all.

Tehanu chuckles, "I prefer your blue eyes to anyone else's." She bites his shoulder.

Lyrak's hands wander all over her body.

[wxdruid]

Tehanu slowly bites and licks her way up to his mouth and eagerly kisses him.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Lyrak kisses her back, his usual passion slightly subdued.

Tehanu pulls back just far enough to look in his eyes, "Lover?"

[Lord Iames Osari]

I'm sorry, beautiful. It just feels... routine.

[wxdruid]

Tehanu sighs and puts her face against his neck, unwilling to even think of what that might mean.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Lyrak sighs, and he runs his fingers through her hair. I still love you, Tehanu. I think we just need to spend more time doing things besides fooling around with each other. Either that, or find new ways of fooling around.

Tehanu hugs him, relieved, "I love you, I never want to leave you. What do you want to do?"

I think it would be best to do both. To not fool around so much, and to find new ways to have fun.

Inspiration strikes Lyrak. I know! We'll start a theme park!

"Start? ...A Theme Park? Lover, are you serious?"

Lyrak blinks. Now that you mention it, it does sound a little crazy. But this is Town. The insane is everyday! Aha! If we name rides and things after people in Town, I bet they'd help us start and run it!

Arha gives him a funny look, "Don't we have to be alive to go back to Town?"

[Lord Iames Osari]

Oh. That part. I forgot. Well, I can ask Iames.

"Okay" as Tehanu mentally sighs, realizing he won't be just hers anymore. "Whatever you like Lover, I want you to be happy." She kisses him and mentally reaches for his reassurance.

She finds his reassurance and his love, both undiminished. He kisses her back, more passionately this time.

Tehanu basks in his love, sending her love for him to his mind as she kisses him back and pulls him closer.

Lyrak runs his hands over her.

Tehanu sends him a few different ideas over the mindlink as she kisses him and pulls the covers up, turns off the light, and closes the blinds.

Iames, Aerin, and Verdandi appear in their bedroom (as distinct from Lyrak and Tehanu's bedroom, because appearing there would just be creepy).

Verdandi seems to be unconcious.
Plus her armor is battered, rent, and bloody.
Oh, and her hair looks terrible.
And she could definitely use a bath. Or two.
Her sword, interestingly, is nowhere to be found.

Aerin goes over to the bed, sits down, and starts casting healing spells on herself.

Iames starts to take off Vera's armor.

Considering the fact that it is practically coming apart anyways... its not too hard to do.

Once her armor is off, Iames takes off the rest of her clothes.

The wounds on her wings heal, and some of her feathers come back with each spell. Soon, she has all her feathers back again. She takes off her sword and puts it to one side.

Verdandi has quite obviously been through a battle.
It shows in many ways, some of which are best not described.

Aerin winces and gets down on the floor next to her and starts casting healing spells.

Her wounds are healed.
She is still in dire need of a bath.
Verdandi barely opens her eyes.
...Aerin? Iames?

Iames smiles down at her, misty-eyed. Yes. We're here.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi smiles and tears roll down her face as she looks between them.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Aerin smiles too, and takes one of Vera's hands in hers.

Let's get you cleaned up, Vera, Iames teleports them down to the island in the center of the bath.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi appears very, very tired and drained. Its about all she can do to slip into the water.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Aerin undresses and slips into the water next to her. She grabs a sponge and starts cleaning Vera off.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames takes off his boots and rolls up his trouserlegs. He creates water over Vera's head, then takes the tube of shampoo and starts working it into her hair, massaging her scalp as he does so.

Verdandi wonders if it is all a dream, and then decides she doesn't care if it is. She relaxes entirely and keeps crying and smiling.

Iames finishes working the shampoo into her hair. Close your eyes, Vera.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi closes her eyes, hoping that when she opens them they will both still be there.

Iames creates water a few more times, rinsing the shampoo out of her hair. You can open your eyes again, Vera.

Aerin keeps sponging away the grime and blood. Starting to feel better yet, Vera?

Verdandi opens her eyes and looks around slowly.
I can't believe you're really back... I always... every night- I- I thought...
She sobs quietly.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Thought what? Iames undresses and gets into the water on Vera's other side. He too is now wielding a sponge.

[AmberVael]

I always thought you had come back.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames looks slightly guilty. I touched your mind every night. Eventually it got to the point where we could communicate. I thought it would comfort you, I didn't realize that you would think we had come back. He starts sponging away the filth on the side toward him.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi shakes her head.
No... I just dreamed... it wasn't- it was not-
She cries some more.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Aerin hugs Vera.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi leans into Aerin, but can't really do more.

[Lord Iames Osari]

There, all clean, Iames says with satisfaction. Now we'll dry you off and go to bed... and this time, we'll be there when you wake up.

[AmberVael]

I hope so...

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames lifts Vera out of the water onto the lip around the edge pulls out one of the fluffy, soft towels, and starts drying Vera off. I promise.

Verdandi gives a very small smile, still looking very tired.

[Lord Iames Osari]

When Vera and Aerin are dry, Iames dries himself, and then teleports the three of them back up to the bedroom. He telekinetically pulls down the blankets, picks up Vera and lays her down in the middle of the bed.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi is quite quickly asleep.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Aerin walks around and gets into the bed on the opposite side.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames gets into bed and falls asleep as well.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi wakes up but doesn't open her eyes, her tired muscles tensing. For a while she remains like this, listening to Iames and Aerin's breathing. Then cautiously, very cautiously and slowly she opens her eyes.
When she sees that they are actually there, she cries silently and weakly puts her arms around Iames, holding him as tight as she can.

Tehanu wakes up and sighs, she gets out of bed and loosely wraps a robe around herself as she walks out into the kitchen to find some chocolate or even more hopefully find a Black Shadow.

[Lord Iames Osari]

There is both chocolate and a Black Shadow.

Tehanu sits down to slowly drink the Black Shadow, closing her eyes as the shivers run down her spine, she relaxes and eats a bit of chocolate. She thinks about what Lyrak suggested last night.

Iames wakes up and cuddles Vera.

[wxdruid]

Tehanu finishes and since Lyrak has woken up yet, she walks back to the bedroom, slips off her robe and back under the covers with him. She watches him sleep, realizing that she has never stayed with anyone as long as she's been with him. Gently and tenderly she brushes his hair back and kisses his cheek.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Lyrak stirs slightly, but remains asleep.

Tehanu snuggles up next to him, content to let him sleep. She is soon lost in her own thoughts.

Verdandi looks up at Iames, smiling with a hint of disbelief.
I can't believe you're back...

[Lord Iames Osari]

I almost can't believe it either, Iames admits.

[AmberVael]

What happened? I thought... maybe my mother... but...
Verdandi appears concerned.

[Lord Iames Osari]

I'm not quite sure. All I know is that an incredibly powerful entity was keeping Aerin and I from being with you, and I was able to convince him to let us return here.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi sighs and looks away from Iames.
I'm sorry, Iames.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Sorry for what?

[AmberVael]

For- well I thought... didn't think you were coming back- so I- I just...

[Lord Iames Osari]

You just...?

[AmberVael]

I gave up on waiting.
Verdandi looks very ashamed of herself.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames blinks, digesting this. So what happened after you gave up?

[AmberVael]

I went to the countryside... Ragnarok was starting- so I- I thought I should die an honorable death, at least.
Verdandi hugs him tightly.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Oh, Iames sounds a bit relieved. And you delayed it?

[AmberVael]

Verdandi nods, fighting back tears.
But I gave up on you...

[Lord Iames Osari]

Shh, shh, shh, Iames squeezes her tight. I gave up myself for a while; I'll forgive you if you'll forgive me. Deal?

[AmberVael]

Verdandi nods again, giving a small smile.
I love you.

[Lord Iames Osari]

I love you too, Iames tells her, leaning in for a kiss.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi kisses him back softly, relaxing her somewhat tense muscles.

Aerin stirs and turns over. She watches Iames and Vera kissing for a few moments.

Verdandi hears Aerin stir and turns towards her, giving her a tight hug.
I'm glad you're back.

[Lord Iames Osari]

I'm glad to be back, Aerin answers, hugging Vera tightly back. I missed you.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi smiles at Aerin, taking in her presence.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Aerin smiles back and leans closer, meaning to kiss Vera's cheek.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi meets her halfway, but kisses her on the lips.

Aerin pulls away in surprise, then kisses Vera back.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi pulls away after a moment and ruffles her wings, resting her head next to Aerin's.
She is wearing a small but very happy smile.

Aerin smiles happily too. I'm glad you don't mind kissing me now, Vera.

[AmberVael]

I... I wanted to do it too much to let my hesitation get in the way.
Verdandi smiles sheepishly.

Iames chuckles at that and runs a hand up and down Vera's side.

Aerin smiles a bit wickedly. Oh, that's what it was. She presses herself against Vera. You know... it's really been bugging me that we never got to have a proper honeymoon.

Verdandi blushes a bit.
Okay...

[Lord Iames Osari]

Iames slides up closer to Vera's back, being careful of her wings. I've had similar thoughts myself. He slides his arms around her middle, slipping them between her and Aerin.

Aerin winks at Vera, then kisses her on the mouth.

Verdandi blushes a little more and kisses Aerin back.
So... so uh-

Iames whispers in her ear, So we're going to make up for lost time... unless you'd rather not...

I um- well- its uh...
Verdandi's cheeks are bright red, and she lowers her head a little.
Its fine.

Aerin kisses her again, and the curtain falls around them.

Lyrak wakes up and gets up. He pulls on a robe and goes into the kitchen and starts making breakfast.

Tehanu wakes up to the smell of breakfast, she smiles and stretches. She gets out of bed, putting on her robe and follows the smell of food.

Morning, Tehanu. Lyrak smiles at her.

[wxdruid]

Tehanu smiles back, "Morning blue eyes, smelled something delightful from the bedroom."

[Lord Iames Osari]

Pancakes and bacon, Lyrak tells her.

[wxdruid]

Tehanu walks over behind him and puts her arms around him and her head on his shoulder, "I love bacon"

[Lord Iames Osari]

I know. Lyrak closes his eyes and inhales the smells of the cooking food. It'll be ready soon.

[wxdruid]

"Until then I'll nibble on something else," she finds his ear with her teeth and her arms tighten around him.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Lyrak laughs. Okay, it's ready now. He takes the bacon and pancakes out of the oven.

[wxdruid]

Tehanu releases him and quickly sets the table.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Lyrak fixes their plates and puts them on the table, then gets the syrup out.

Tehanu grins as she sits down, syrup...

[Lord Iames Osari]

Lyrak helps himself to some of the aforementioned syrup, then starts eating.

Tehanu pours a generous dollop of syrup on her pancakes and drags one finger through the puddle. She watches Lyrak as she licks and sucks on her finger.

Lyrak grins and points at her with his fork. After we've eaten, he says.

Tehanu grins back and digs into her breakfast, enjoying his excellent cooking.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Lyrak finishes his pancakes and picks up one of his bacon strips.

Tehanu quietly asks him, "What about the Temple of Iames?"

[Lord Iames Osari]

Lyrak looks up at her. You think we should ask to go back and rebuild it?

[wxdruid]

Tehanu looks down, "I know it meant a lot to you. I...well once I am alive again I'll have access to my money."

[Lord Iames Osari]

Your money? Lyrak asks.

[wxdruid]

Tehanu looks back up at him, her face still unreadable, "Yes, I have a lot saved from jobs I've done in the past. You always seemed to have enough to get by easily so I never worried about it. I have rarely used my money because I'm usually with someone who is over flowing with the stuff and is willing to buy me anything I wish." Her look changes to a worried one, "I ... since I met you I've not really needed much except to have you next to me. Do you understand? I don't feel as though I need material things from you, you give me so much more. If you want to rebuild the Temple of Iames I am more than willing to pay for it. I know it meant a lot to you." She waits for his answer, having never offered anything like this to anyone, ever...and not positive of what his answer will be.

Lyrak smiles gratefully. Thank you, Tehanu. I'm not sure what will have happened to the money in the Temple's vault, but people in Town being what they are, I wouldn't be surprised if it's been found. Thank you.

Tehanu gets up and kneels next to his chair. She lays her head in his lap and puts her arms around his waist. Simply wanting to feel his presence, nothing more.

Lyrak runs his fingers through her hair, smiling happily.

[wxdruid]

Tehanu looks up at him, "I love you and I would do anything for you."

[Lord Iames Osari]

I know. I feel the same way, Lyrak says softly, looking into her eyes.

[wxdruid]

Tehanu slowly runs her hands up his back as she rises to meet his lips with her own.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Lyrak kisses her back and pulls her into his lap.

[wxdruid]

Tehanu settles comfortably into his lap and keeps her arms around him.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Lyrak pulls back from the kiss and smiles.

[wxdruid]

Tehanu smiles back at him and buries her face in his neck and hair, breathing in his unique scent.

Lyrak is content.

Tehanu slips her hands under his robe and slowly runs her hands over every well known contour of his back. She lightly bites his neck and flicks her tongue across his skin.

Lyrak responds, sitting up a bit straighter. He slides his hand up and down her left side, his right hand idly teasing at the knot of her robe's sash.

Tehanu wiggles a bit in his lap to help him along and moves one hand around to caress his chest as she continues to bite and lick him.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Lyrak continues loosening the knot. Weren't you going to do something with the syrup?

[wxdruid]

She looks at him for a moment, "Besides teasing you with it?" She laughs and shrugs her shoulders, the robe falling to show her bare shoulders and a bit more. She takes a bit of syrup from his plate and lightly brushes her fingertip across the smooth expanse of her bosom, leaving a trail of syrup behind.

Lyrak leans down, and the curtain falls.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi wakes up and barely twitches her wings, still quite tired. She hums a little and puts an arm around Iames, and leans back towards Aerin.

Aerin wakes up and smiles happily, keeping her eyes closed for the moment.

Verdandi wakes up as well and flutters her wings a little.

Aerin opens her eyes, sits up and twists so she can stretch her wings.

Verdandi turns over and watches Aerin.
Aerin?

What is it, Vera? Aerin smiles.

[AmberVael]

Has anything changed?
Verdandi looks down.
For you and Iames, I mean. I know alot happened to me...

Like what do you mean?

[AmberVael]

Well, its... I guess...
I started doing forgework again. I bought a house and... I don't know... I changed. A little, at least.

[Lord Iames Osari]

I didn't know you did forgework, Aerin says. But... I suppose I did change a bit. Being entirely at the mercy of another being isn't something I've had to deal with for a long time, and since they were keeping us separated from you, I was angry, very angry. If Iames hadn't been there, I would've done something incredibly stupid. And violent.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi hugs Aerin.
I'm glad you didn't.

[Lord Iames Osari]

I am too, Aerin hugs Vera back.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi hums a little and doesn't pull away.

After a few moments, Aerin suggests, Well, I was going to get up and take a walk around Town. Care to join me?

Verdandi looks at Iames, then nods.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Aerin gets out of bed and goes over to the wardrobe, where she starts getting dressed.

Verdandi joins Aerin, looking through the clothes she hasn't worn in quite some time.
I could take you to my forge. If you'd like.
She smiles shyly and nervously.

That sounds like it would be fun, Aerin grins as she ties her sash around her waist and slides her sword through it.

Verdandi smiles and puts on a simple tunic and pants.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Aerin goes and stands on the teleporter.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi goes and joins her.

[Lord Iames Osari]

Roof, Aerin says, and they are on the roof of the tower. Aerin goes to the edge and jumps off, spreading her wings and beginning a slow descent downwards.

Verdandi jumps off after her and begins gliding.

Aerin sighs, enjoying the rush of the air through her feathers.

Have you ever done any forgework, Aerin?

Aerin shakes her head. No, I haven't. I'm one of those people who are quite happy to use steel, but have no idea how it actually works. She grins.

Verdandi gives a small smile.
There seem to be a lot of those around here.

There do, don't there? Aerin nods, pulling up and landing softly in the courtyard around the gazebo. She heads for the portal to the police station.

Verdandi hesitates, then follows Aerin.

Aerin goes through the portal.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi goes in after her.

Iames wakes up and notices Aerin and Vera's absence. A little chill goes through him, and he immediately tries to find them. He relaxes when he senses them close by and gets up and starts to dress.

Kyrian appears in front of the Gazebo, and debates throwing a fireball at it. As it hasn't attacked yet...he doesn't. Iames?

Mm? What is it?

[Kyrian]

Wanted to stop by, say hi.

Oh. Well, hello. Iames finishes getting dressed and teleports to the gazebo. It's good to be back.

[Kyrian]

Kyrian offers a hand. And good to have you back.

Iames shakes it. Thank you.

So what happened?

[Lord Iames Osari]

A being of great power decided to remove Aerin and myself from Town. Fortunately I was able to convince it to let us return.

[Kyrian]

Good thing too.

Tehanu chuckles and sits on him, she slowly runs the flat up his ribs as her fingers draw small circles on his chest.

Aerin carries Vera through a gate, undresses her, and puts her in bed. Then she goes to the desk and eats her sandwich.

Lyrak wakes up and snuggles up to Tehanu.

After a few moments, he sighs, gets out of bed, and goes to the bathroom.

From the sounds, Lyrak is taking a bath.

Tehanu quietly slides out of bed and walks boldly into the bathroom. She looks down at him, many emotions evident in her eyes and expression.

I love you too, he says, standing up to give her a wet hug and kiss.

Tehanu closes her eyes as she kisses him back. She slides her arms around him and up his back. Feeling as though she could fall forever into him and never come back and never care.

Lyrak pulls back, gently breaking the kiss. I'm washing up so I can go ask Iames to return us to life. Want to come along?

Tehanu looks at him wondering where the kiss went, not immediately comprehending his words.
