Does Arcane Tricksters ranged legendarmien and spell sneak attack, when combined with rogue archetype cutpurses http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/rogue/archetypes/paizo---rogue-archetypes/cutpurse stealing when attacking with surprise, allow you to steal from each member of a crowd with a fireball attack?

Stab and Grab requires a specific full-round action. You could not steal with a fireball, although you could combine it if you're holding the charge of a spell like Shocking Grasp or Chill Touch.

At 3rd level, as a full-round action, a cutpurse can make an attack and also make a Sleight of Hand check to steal something from the target of the attack. If the attack deals sneak attack damage, the rogue can use Sleight of Hand to take an Item from the creature during combat

I can see where it could be limited to one item steal attempt per attack, though still not sure, but isn't a attack magic spell, a attack?

If you have
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core...s/knife-master with AT, are spells considered weapons for considering whether to reduce from knife masters Sneak Stab reduces its sneak attack damage?

Spells with attack rolls can score critical hits like a weapon, and make attack rolls like a weapon. From that, your spells that have attack rolls should have d4 sneak attack dice, unless it acts like one of the weapons listed.

If magic is like a weapon for this purpose, and "makes attack rolls", then couldn't I do a full round action using a spell like say Fireball or Magic missile for my attack as part of stab and grab, stealing with the spell thanks to Ranged legendarmien? If you still maintain no, please explain why not.

An 'attack' is a specific standard action, which is completely separate from casting a spell. Stab and Grab is a full round action which includes an attack, thus making it doubly incompatible. Standard actions are not interchangeable, and both an attack and casting a spell are separately defined. By your logic, you would be able to cast a spell in place of an attack, which means that you could cast multiple standard action spells in a full attack, which is clearly not the case. You could, as explained earlier, cast a touch spell and hold the charge, and use Stab and Grab with that.
