So if I am riding a Large creature and I have say a Lance in my hands where does my reach begin or end? Am I on a certain square on my mount or the direct center? This is assuming a grid based battle map for combat.
I ask because one of my players was suggesting that he was able to hit up to ten feet away from his mount because he had reach, and was riding his mount, since they were sharing the same squares. I am unsure what the proper ruling on this is even after reviewing the relevant section in the PHB, so any help would be appreciated.
