I'm afb, the dm will probably need my advice on that and the upcoming session is in about 3 hours, so i have to ask you guys:
What magic item would you give to a dex based dual wielding elf fighter with serious survivability issues? He's lvl 8, dex is maxed, and the item can be up to rare.

Ring of Protection or maybe an Amulet of Health

Amulet of Health, Ring of Protection and +1 armour are all rare. The ring is better than the armour. But I'm not sure this is the sort of survival he needs help with? The only one that can do something that will be really felt is the amulet, and that's if he has poor con. The others are 'just' +1s.
