They speak rarely, but when they do , they always have something interesting to say. Don't you think? I always pay attention to what these roaches say, although the letters are soooo small. Speak rarely? Not that I've noticed - the roaches appear in most scenes containing any of Xykon, Redcloak, or MitS. And they always have something to say, often more funny than whatever the actual stars said...

I've always assumed that the roaches were first just a gag, but then I notice that they seem to be Rich commenting on his own work. If there's a stupid joke to be made, or a plot hole to point out, the roaches do it, so we don't have to.

Well now; we only see two at a time, but certainly there are a bunch more.

Now that I think about it there have been occasions where there are more than just two.

Start of Darkness has some good demon roaches, including a semi-origin.
