Barbarians, Warblades, and characters with any number of templates that make them into Undead have d12s for HD.

Fighters, Paladins, Hexblades, 3.0 and PF Rangers, PF Cavaliers, Oriental Adventures/Rokugani Samurai, and Crusaders have d10s.

Any particular reason? If there's something specific to those HD, that's one thing, but if you have some broader underlying purpose, then there could be things that approximate what you're looking for.

I'm toying with a gestalt build that uses a homebrew class. The larger hit die would be a hilarious improvement over the homebrew class.
Thing is, I made the homebrew class so I have a good idea of the weaknesses of it.

I was a bit surprised when I went to doublecheck and found Duskblades rock a d8, though.

There's also Incarnate, which naturally has only a d6 but can use a Vitality Belt to (basically) increase the effective size of its hit die by one step per essentia invested.

The d8 for duskblade makes sense to me since they are supposed to be strikers rather than bruisers, but would 2 more skill points really have broken the bank...
