swordbow alternates

Looking at the swordbow and I had a thought.
I've been thinking about getting a +1 sizing scythe, I love the visual effect of it.
Could the sword part of a great swordbow be a scythe instead?

It can be a quarterstaff. Elvencraft.

It's not a stretch to go to scythe from there, but I don't have any rules for it.
