I just started playing in a 5e game at level 1, and have been considering spell choices. I have some general ideas, but am not completely certain how to implement them with regards to party composition. The party consists of:
A Valor Bard
A Warlock, who intends to multiclass into Eldritch Knight
A Fighter--will probably choose Battlemaster
A Paladin--most likely Oath of Vengeance
A Druid-- I believe Circle of the Moon
A Way of the Open Hand Monk
An Assassin Rogue
Player who hasn't chosen a class, but is leaning towards Wizard
Player of Unknown Class, whose experiences in the last campaign left him averse to support roles
Fire Dragon Sorcerer, played my me

2-3 members are usually absent per session.

This is my preliminary list of Spells Known at Level 20:
Level 1: Shield
Level 2: Scorching Ray, Enhance Ability, Mirror Image
Level 3: Fireball, Counterspell, Haste
Level 4: Confusion, Wall of Fire
Level 5: Sorcery points and buffing lower spells
Level 6: Disintegrate, Sunbeam, Mass Suggestion
Level 7: Reverse Gravity, Plane Shift
Level 8: Sorcery points and buffing lower spells
Level 9: Wish

Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.

P.S.: It should be noted that I'm not starting with Shield as my only 1st-level spell. My two starting spells are Sleep and Thunderwave, which I plan to drop as they become obsolete.
