Vicious mockery states that the target has disadvantage until the end of it's next turn. If a Bard with the Warcaster feat hits an enemy with it (via it provoking AoO from moving away) and it fails the save, does it have disadvantage for the rest of the current turn as well as the next?

Yes, but it states it is an attack roll not rolls. So, it is still only one attack.
