I've seen these suggested in many threads as a way of making things quicker/easier for combat, and I've seen a couple of (very large) examples, but I personally think those would be too clumbersome for my table.
So I was wondering if anyone had already made these more along the lines of playing cards in size, or even just has a template for them?
I only have a very basic mono-tone home printer, so something very basic would be more suitable for my purposes, but I'd love to see anything that people have come up with.

Well, there are these (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20061225a) from WotC.

Never knew that WotC had done these. And I think those will do for Maneuvers.

Yeah, I know: They did something nice. Shocked me too.

I've had the same problem: I couldn't find any suitable spell cards.
I'd suggest you to spend some time to do them yourself. That way you can ensure that your cards will be ideal for you.
I can share a template for cards I made for myself, it looks like that (http://i.imgur.com/dnfsfXf.png). These are for Pathfinder but you would have to make your own spells anyway so there's no difference for you

EDIT: Here (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hhfrvldmhj4esgz/AADTIN7WUW0AjAoTM40vWU1fa?dl=0) is the Dropbox folder with the template, feel free to use it :smallwink:

It's worth noting that I think one or two maneuvers were missed in that collection of maneuver cards, can't quite remember which ones.

spell cards for a wizard are particularly pointless past 5th level, you have too many, it would take a tonne of time to sort and create, and in game it would also take to much time to sort through every time you use a spell.

i make a spellbook, each A4 page is a spell level, each spell is 1-2 lines, has a column for range, target duration save, spell resist and components. with a small section for notes on the spell.

The spell book sounds like a decent idea as well, but I have to disagree with you on the spell cards for spells above level 5, even if you were only meaning for the Wizard and not any other class. I think that's when they'd be of most use. It's quicker and easier flicking through a deck of cards than it is going through a pile of books trying to find the right page, especially if you're only needing to check something minor. Also easier to pass a card to the DM if they want to read it for themselves than pass a whole book.

But I do agree that it would take ages to make them, that's why I was hoping there was a basic template out there already where I could just copy/paste the spell details in.

Thank you. Looks like I'll be working for quite a while with the custom spell option :smalleek:.

I haven't seen these myself, but there is a PDF for five bucks.
