As the title says. Interpret "Heavy Metal" in your own way.

My thoughts:
For 3.5, Barbarian -> Bear Warrior, or Hellfire Warlock, depending on the sort of metal you want.
For PF, Bloodrager. All da way.

Also, maybe we can try to construct a full party that is as metal as possible?

Warforged Skald. You sing/guitar so hard that everyone gets Rage, and you ARE heavy metal.

Divine bard
"It's a devil screaming"
"It's an angel singing"
"It is the pounding of creation's hammer upon the anvil of time"
"It's f***ing awesome"

Somebody here has to mention Sooth's Disciple of Metal (http://community.wizards.com/forum/previous-editions-general/threads/1116756) bard PrC.

Hideously overpowered. But a really fun concept.

And lots of good ideas for attitude. (E.g. of course your instrument has to be an axe.)

More seriously, a bardsader or bardblade can rock hard and kick serious ass.

Cleric or Paladin into Bone Knight (Eberron).

Isnt there some bard PrC that summons thunder and lightning if you hit a perform check?

Stealing from Hammerfall:
Can't you see the coming of a hero?

Artificer or Effigy Master, it doesn't matter which.

What does matter is that you and the party soar into battle on the wings of your steel Dire Eagles, while the Bard casts Otto's Irresistible Dance and Quiet Riot's Metal Health plays over the sound system built into the breast of each bird. :smallamused:

Make the chick from "Heavy Metal". Been a while since I've watched it, but she should do well.

According to Metal genres (http://www.mombu.com/heavymetal/iron-maiden/t-metal-genres-16913342.html), "Heavy Metal" dude must be able to ride Harley, kill a dragon, drink some beers, and **** a princess

Warforged Oracle of Metal multiclass to Bard with either Savage Skald or Celebrity arctype. If possible, throw Half-Fiend or something on the Warforged too, then we can have a frontman who *is* Heavy Metal, who can play like a devil (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhC1qKekaUE), with devilishly good looks, who can call down the powers of heavy metal that the gods created (and they saw that it was good) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPP92QpnhYA).

It's been both a comic series & an animated series, most people are familiar with the original cartoon anthology. It's softcore porn that switches between something very much like Conan the barbarian & space opera sci-fi. Demons & aliens and heaving chests, oh my. Pretty sure a link to it would violate terms of service for the Playground.

I always thought this (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=16084344&postcount=270) from the Iron Chef competition was pretty friggin' metal. xD

Hm. A little less interested, now, but I may give it a look.

I enjoy the old cartoon, but its pretty nostalgic for me. It's pretty much a cult film, lots of interesting visuals, not much substance, and pretty raunchy humor in the more humorous parts. I love the Captain Sternn part, but I also really like campy cult films.

Anywho, has someone statted out Eddie the Head? I wonder what sort of undead he'd be.

Heh. The build worked within the confines of the contest, to be sure (and the disputes (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=16141828&postcount=445) were fun (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=16163130&postcount=515)). But you might be better off just mixing Bard and Warblade there. Also, the main fun trick was using the Undersong spell to substitute your Perform skill for your Concentration skill, and then using the Insightful Strike (and it's greater counterpart) to kill people with Perform checks. :smalltongue:

Truly, you are slaying your foes with the Power of Metal.

Well to start, I would look at the periodic table, and check out anything denser than iron. These are generally accepted to be heavy metals.

Ooooh, yes, I like this. Will use it with my next ToB character.

How about a Factotum/Disciple of Dispater with a golf bag of Scimitars/or axes
