Searing Spell question

This feat says those with the cold subtype take double damage from searing spells. but dont cold subtypes already take double damage from fire spells? so does this mean they take x3 for the spell?

Normally, cold subtype creatures take +50% damage from fire, though that has not always been the case. Searing spell amps it up to double from an extra half.

OH i see. lol i thought cold took x2 not just 50% lol
