Is there a feat, or something that will allow spontanous caster (like sorc, duskblades, Beguilers, etc) to do metamagic feats without making them full round actions?

I'm pretty sure nowadays there are about 12 different ways to do this. I'll go off and get the specifics. Let's see who beats me to it.

For sorcerers there is the metamagic specialist optional replacement for a familiar in the PHBII, but that's sorcerer only and has limited uses per day. The Rapid Metamagic feat from Complete Mage is available to all spontaneous casters and has no use limit, but is not available until level 9 due to required skill ranks. The Arcane Preparation feat from Complete Arcane does the trick and is available from level 1, but you have to prepare the spell with metamagic at the start of the day, losing your spontaneous flexibility with that spell slot.

Think it's... arcane preparation, CArc. Issue is, you have to prepare it with the metamagic, and you can't use it in any other way >:(.

For those with dragon blood, there's a feat in Races of the Dragon that lets you use a single chosen metamagic feat without the full round action.

It does in fact allow sorcerers to quicken-spam spells.

Rapid Metamagic, from Complete Mage

If you have 12 ranks of Spellcraft, you take the feat, and all your metamagicked spells take the normal casting time rather than the full round.

Yet another reason why I have to get that infernal book. Wow, that just sounds fun.

House Rule it in, because the longer casting time and inability to Quicken spells is a nerf Sorcerers don't need.

I doubt many "Batman" characters would choose to be a Sorcerer over a Wizard. Most people don't choose to be Sorcerers, because Sorcerers are inferior to Wizards. In regards to this issue, the only valid comparison is between Sorcerers and Wizards (and, to a lesser extend, Druids and Clerics), not to non-spellcasters.
