Elder Leshy

Elder Leshy date back to the days of the fey, keeping watch over small havens of Leshy.
These larger and significantly more intelligent Leshy were the byproduct of different Leshy breeding: Gourd with Leaf, Fungus with Seaweed, Etc. (Most often Leaf.) The Elder Leshy would be born when that hybrid Leshy would breed with a fey being. When they grew, the tribes of Leshy they lived in thrived under their protection. Being larger than all normal Leshy, they could more effectively take care of there respective duties, and guard the normal Leshy from harm.

Physical Description:
Elder Leshy stand from around 5 to 6 feet tall, which would not be predictible at birth. At birth, they are at the same size as a normal Leshy, but with more refined features. Just like a normal Leshy, the Elder Leshys color and features are incredibly varied, based on the terrain they were born in. On their backs, the gliding leaves on the backs of Leaf Leshy have evolved into actual wings made of many leaves, fused to their back.


Society:
The societys that Elder Leshy are from are as varied as nature itself. An Elder Leshy will almost always be living with a group of normal Leshy, varying in species. Some Elders take it upon themselves to unite multiple groups of Leshy, most often the Gourd and Leaf species, to create a large haven of multiple thriving species of plant.

Relations:
Generally kind-hearted and laid-back, Elder Leshys will usually accept anyone. They are most accepting of gnomes, as they are both related to the fey, and are the same size as their kin, as well as their similar outlooks on life. Due to their alien appearence, many are afraid of them, and may even try to kill them. However, they are very hostile towards Goblins, because of their proclivity to fire. Conflicting with their laid-back nature, is their intense passsion to protect their kin if threatened.

Alignment and Religion:
Due to their kindness and strong protective tendencies, Elder Leshy are almost always chaotic good. Somewhat rarer individuals are chaotic neutral, being less frequent because of the patience and kindness required to watch over a group of smaller individuals. An even smaller few are lawful good, and any evil alignment is borderline impossible. Due to their very low contact with civilization, religion is usually very limited, and some societys of Lechy have their own gods, usually nature based. Those that do practice religion usually worship Gozreh.

Adventurers:
Elder Leshy adventurers are a very rare sight, as there are very few of them in the first place, and the fact that their job is to take of their community. Those that do venture away from their homes are either driven away, or they are just simply curious about the outside world. Because to their fey background, they are naturally inclined towards magic based classes, but are almost always druids, due to their propensity towards nature.

Allium, Alnus, Cornus,
Fraxinus, Ilex, Rubus.

Female Names:
Alliaria, Betula, Hesperis,
Lamium, Solanum, Veratrum.




Elder Leshy Racial Traits

+2 Charisma, +2 Wisdom: Elder Leshy are kind and easy-going, but suprisingly wise.
Medium: Elder Leshy are Medium creatures and have no bonuses or penalties due to their size.
Normal Speed: Elder Leshy have a base speed of 30 feet. They also have a flight speed of 30 (Clumsy.)
Low-Light Vision: Elder Leshy can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light.
Leshy Affinity: Elder Leshy cut the time of creating a Leshy by 75%, and cut the material price by 50%.
Treespeech: Elder Leshy have the ability to converse with plants as if subject to a continual 'speak with plants' spell.
Leshy Immunity: Elder Leshy are immune to paralysis, poison, polymorph, sleep effects, stunning, and all mind-affecting effects. (Charms, compulsions, morale effects, pattern, and phantasms.)
Leshy Magic: Elder Leshy have the ability to use the spell 'entangle' at will. (As" Spell-Like Ability, At-Will: Entangle")
Elder Leshy eat and breath, but are not required to sleep.
Languages: Elder Leshy begin play speaking Common and Sylvan. Elder Leshy with high intelligence scores can choose from the following: Aquan, Auran, Elven, Gnome, and Halfling.




I designed this race to be some sort of playable version of the Leshy from Bestiary 3. My only reason was that they were so cute. I also want an army of Leshy (For this races purposes, Leshy reproduce. If you object to that, feel free to bring it up.)

Leshy Magic = Spell-Like Ability, At-Will + Part of the Plant type effects.
Leshy Immunity = The rest of the Plant type effects.
