Weird question, but is there a familiar out there that a wizard/sorcerer can take that resembles a glowing floating eyeball? The theme and flavor of my next character concept requires it.

Thanks in advance. :)

I forget the source (something FR based) but there is an Eyeball familiar that is technically a beholder kin, requires improved familiar feat

Monsters of Faerun, though it may have been updated elsewhere. And yes, it is glorious.

Just looked up the Eyeball Beholderkin, that looks about close to what I'm looking for. Bet there's a lot of neat tricks you can pull off with that Spellray, too. Thanks everyone. :)

Now just shenanigans the celestial template on it and:

As genius as that is, sadly the character in question is an evil diviner, so I doubt that'd be possible.

There is also the isitoq (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/bestiary4/isitoq.html) if your playing pathfinder.

Perfect!

That'll be useful if I need to translate the character into Pathfinder. Thanks!

If you're Lawful Evil, there's two more in Pathfinder: The Kyton Augur (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/outsiders/kyton/kyton-augur) and the Arbiter Inevitable (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/outsiders/inevitable/inevitable-arbiter).

Neutral Evil, so I can still take the Kyton Augur at least, right?

Looks like it - the Improved Familiar feat says "You may choose a familiar with an alignment up to one step away on each alignment axis (lawful through chaotic, good through evil)."

Yep that's what I remember reading elsewhere on that site, but at the same time those pages say "Only Lawful Neutral/Lawful Evil" spellcasters. Was just making sure, thanks.
