Pyramid Scheme (BRitF). Both options have some amazing scenes and some less interesting ones, but on the whole Pyramid Scheme has more strong moments, especially the discovery of the murdered Draketooths, V's breakdown, Durkon's fight with Malack, and Durkon's death.

The Bandits (NCftPB). It's one of the more entertaining sequences of NCftPB and has a key character moment for Roy (where he starts being a real character rather than just Generic Leader Guy and straight man).

Face the Nation (BRitF). I love Redcloak and I like Gobbotopia, with their textbooks and anthems and cute goblin kids and hydra-burgers.

Kill the Messenger (WaXP). The argument between Redcloak and Miko is just fantastic, for the funny lines (mangled Star Wars quotes) the dramatic ones (Redcloak's "unnatural" monologue), and the ones that are a bit of both ("zero ranks in 'Knowledge: What The Hell You're Talking About' ").

Allies and Other Obstacles (NCftPB). Both of the rounds in this category are fairly weak, but there's at least a good moment between Roy and his dad in this one.

I'm curious about how you're doing the seeding. Isn't seeding generally used to pit the strongest teams (or plotlines in this case) against the weakest ones, so that - barring a dark horse victory - the strongest teams are generally facing each other in the final round? [E.g.: 42 vs 1; 41 vs 2; 40 vs. 3]. This seems to be pitting plotlines with sequential numbers - i.e., with similar levels of popularity - against each other, which means that the most popular plotlines will be facing off against each other in the earliest set of rounds, and will be up against weaker strips in the final rounds.

The seeding generally works in a more conventional way, however, right now I'm just doing the 10 match-ups that didn't qualify for first round byes. Things will make more sense once we get to round 2.

Pyramid Scheme - Mainly thanks to V.

The Bandits - The comic sure has improved over time, huh? Which is a good sign.

Blood Will Out - Face the Nation is good, but I think Blood Will Out is better.

Kill the Messenger - Redcloak's interaction with Miko is interesting.

Allies and Other Obstacles - The opposition is not that strong, which makes sense, considering it was seeded quite low.

Pyramid Scheme does not include that.

Ah, oops, that's in the next book. Oh well, the big V moment is still good enough for me to vote for it.
