A question about Fearsome armor.

Fearsome armor functions as if it has armor spikes if the armor doesn’t have this feature already. So my question is this, do the "armor spikes" actually add weight? Armor spikes add an extra 10 lbs of weight as far as I remember. So do they add weight as if you added normal armor spikes or are these spikes magical and and add no weight?

I would think so, since increasing weight is a function of armor spikes.

Well, it functions "as if". This implies it gets the effects of armor spikes without actually getting armor spikes. Now the question remains, is it only the benefits that are gained or the costs(weight) too? I would be inclined to assume the Fearsome enchantment weighs 10lb in addition to the benefits of the armor spikes it is functioning as.
