monk PRC that grants shape change

i remember a monk prc that choose an animal and could shape change into it, am i going insane or does this class exist?

The Primeval (Frostburn) and the Weretouched Master (Eberron Campaign Setting) both fit that description, though loosely.

Might you be thinking of the Wild Monk, from Dragon #324? It trades its bonus feat at 1st, 2nd, and 5th for Resist Nature's Lure at 3 and Wild Shape at 6 (scaling like a druid would for forms and sizes).

You may be thinking of the Shen. You choose a sort of spirit animal and then gain bonus feats, attack styles and such from it, eventually with the ability to take a hybrid form. I don't remember what dragon magazine it's from though

There is one in book of vile deeds that gives you at will polymorph I think. I don't recall which disciple it was.

These prestige classes come from Dragon Magazine 319.

The roundabout way would be to go cleric/monk/sacred fist and have the Transformation domain.

Sohei (basically Crusaders who lived in Monasteries) from Oriental Adventures qualify for Bear Warrior at level 10.
