So I have got the idea for a warrior who ever-so-slightly dabbles in spellcasting, but not quite to the extent of the Magus. Is there any way to gain spellcasting from feats, traits, or even class levels?

Bloodrager, ranger, paladin, UMD ranks...

You can get cantrips from traits, some spells from rogue talents.

Which traits, exactly?

The next step on the wizard - fighter line after magus is the bloodrager class. It's a 4-level caster which looks a lot like a barbarian.

Further towards the fighter end of the spectrum? Some races have feats which give spell-like abilities, as do many prestige classes. Use Magic Device is a skill. A cavalier of the Order of the Tome can use scrolls reliably from 8th level without the skill. Master Craftsman feat will let you enchant your weapons as a mundane. Some barbarian rage powers are decidedly magical. There are various archetypes with magical effect even for fighters (e.g. eldritch guardian gives you a familiar).

What sort of magic did you want?

If you go with the early-entry eldritch knight, and finish off the character with fighter (or whatever martial class you've chosen), you end up with level 5 spells and 19 BAB at level 20.

Aasimar fighter/wizard/eldritch knight 10/fighter 8. Qualifies for "able to cast 3rd-level spells" with the daylight ability.

Or maybe Paladin 2/sorcerer/eldritch knight 10/paladin 7.

Those are just off the top of my head. There are probably better ways to go about it if you put some thought into it. I'm also not sure how eldritch knight builds would compare to the single-class ones. Just something to consider.

Arcane swordsage? You can pick up a couple spells and spend the rest on maneuvers, though it's best to change the recovery mechanic with regards to spells.

This one (http://www.archivesofnethys.com/TraitDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Magical%20Talent), for example, or this one. (http://www.archivesofnethys.com/TraitDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Wealthy%20Dabbler)

There are some feats which give you SLAs directly, but they're not brilliant: typically 1 x 1st + 2 cantrips once per day each.

Fey or Fiendish Heritage feats can give you SLAs — and quite nice ones.

Class levels:
A 1 level Clericdip is popular, so popular in fact that there is a handbook (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fcURmx8dZpbIvycDl7urPlC6jaikYLfZYxXYCdH3WVQ/edit?pli=1) about it.

Mixing in some Bard can be good.

Then there are the basic Ranger and Paladin options.

Or you can build a Gish.

There are a ridiculous number of options here.

Take drow as a race or pick Racial Heritage feat if you want to go human and pick the Drow Nobility feat tree. Decent utility-based spells at will. This (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/racial-feats/greater-drow-nobility-drow)is what you end up with, by taking only 3 feats.

There's also Aasimar. You can take the feat "Heavenly Radiance" five times and get 6 uses a day of Daylight, and each use per day can be used instead to cast Flareburst, Searing Light, Sunbeam, Wake of Light, or Wandering Star Motes.

Well, it may take some persuading of your DM, but there's the Classed Creature Templates (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/templates/simple-class-templates) and the Monsters as PCs rules (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/monsters/monstersAsPCs.html).

Kind of surprised Kitsune hasn't popped up yet.
Magical Tail (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/racial-feats/magical-tail-kitsune) feat(s).

Also, Rogue can take 2 Rogue Talents (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/rogue/rogue-talents/paizo---rogue-talents/major-magic-sp) to be able to cast a 1st level Wizard spell twice a day...yay...
Dispelling Attack (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/rogue/rogue-talents/paizo---rogue-advanced-talents/dispelling-attack-su) gets you a Dispel Magic whenever you deal Sneak damage.

But yeah, you're pretty much looking at actual Caster levels if you want to really _DO_ anything with your casting.

I second the suggestion of the Bloodrager (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/hybrid-classes/bloodrager), but if thats not really your cup o tea, there is also the Battle Scion (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/3rd-party-classes/kobold-press-open-design/battle-scion) class which is pretty solid.
