OK so I need a fairly functional spell caster ECL20 that is based around chaos. I was thinking wild mage, not particularly strong, but it meets the idea head on.
This npc will be a former prisoner of a prison in the Abyss. He has escaped since the prison fell and stuck around as a "warden" of the prison. I am more interested in the Flavor of the character, but would like him to actually be at least some what formidable. Though as I said its all about chaos so the more things about the character left to chance in game play the better. I love the idea of a boom or bust , gambling with the dice to see if he is effective or just pitiful. I really liked the flavor of 2nd ed wild mage, but have not found anything that really fits that in 3.5. The rod of wonder stuff from the 3.5 version of wild mage is kinda weak and uninteresting.
Help me brain storm ideas and I will see what I can piece together.
